Will the Nixon included be the DC?

I think doors didn't really offer much in terms of extras. I just hope it keeps the commentary.

Did Stone ever record anything for Talk Radio or U-Turn? I heard he never did.

45 minutes in deleted scenes and a 40 minute doc weren't enough for you?

Not yet, no.

The last set had a two-disc 'Nixon' (director's cut; it hasn't been said which cut this will include). I believe it also had a two-disc 'The Doors' (in a snapper, though) and the previous two-disc 'JFK'.

Please phrase questions in the form of a question.

What do you want to know? Since you clearly know there has been no official word yet, and that the speculation is that the one-discs will be exactly the same while any two-disc ['The Doors', 'JFK', 'Any Given Sunday', and 'Nixon'] will only be the first disc. There's no word yet on whether 'Nixon' and 'The Doors' will be anamorphic. But these things are all in the thread which you must've read, so what is it you're actually asking?

i guess you didn't read the thread or you would know that i had already asked a question..and i do not know "clearly" that there has been no official word. If you don't have an answer then don't be an ass

Hey Cameron, kind of off topic, but are there any decent paying jobs available in Nashville? My current line of work is getting to me, and I loved Nashville when I briefly lived there before.

But that question was answered. You asked about the second discs, and they aren't there.

Okay, fair enough. Show me where there has been.

Jeez, get a sense of humor, dude. I made a little joke at the front and then answered your question exactly. But, to repeat it again, what are you asking if not what I answered (which had all been said before)?

I'll tell you right now, they're not going to cram the extras onto the single discs of 'JFK', 'Nixon', or 'Any Given Sunday', since those movies are all around three hours.

Really, the best way to get them is individually.

the 10-movie (15-disc) didn't come with 'Salvador' or 'Platoon'. It came with an inferior 'Born on the Fourth of July' [which is being upgraded and re-released to coincide with this set]. The old set comes with the old version of the 'JFK' special edition, which doesn't include the 'Beyond JFK - A Question of Conspiracy' doc, (but, of course, none of the special features seem to be in the new set).

And neither release comes with the director's cut of 'Natural Born Killers'.

I've bought all the good releases over time [still holding out on 'Talk Radio' and 'U-Turn', because those have no commentary tracks], so the only thing I want out of this new box is Disc 14, with the two docs Stone shot for HBO last year.

Okay. Why are there no reviews yet to confirm or deny our suspicions? I would really like to pick this up as Oliver Stone is one of my favorite directors and I would love to own this, but I need to know if I should get this one large puppy or just get each one seperately (though I would love to have a custom made box.)

I think if you have the previous 10-movie Stone Collection, then this new one isn't worth it. If you only bought the 6-movie Stone Collection, then this would be a good one to grab.

Also, are these definately just the 1-disc versions...i know there is only one disc for them....but did they perhaps mash together a load of special features on the single discs...

I really want Wall Street and NBK but only if the set has the good versions of Born On the 4th Of July, Any Given sunday, Heaven and Earth, etc...

Would you actually want a one-disc version of 'JFK' with a three hour plus version of the movie plus more than an hour of docs? Or the three and a half hour version of 'Nixon' *and* Stone on Charlie Rose for an hour *and* 20 minutes of deleted scenes?

Well, the good version of 'Born' just came out today, I'm pretty sure it's the same one. And 'Heaven and Earth' is another where the good version is one disc. So those aren't the concerns. "Any Given Sunday" won't be; even if it is, again, that'd be cramming more than four hours worth of stuff onto one disc. I guess it's possible but it sure doesn't sound likely. My advise is buy seperately; 'Wall Street' is dirt-cheap and this set will have the heavily cut version of NBK anyway.

I did the math and the only two-disc set in the box is JFK, the rest are single discs. AGS, Doors, Nixon are the single disc versions
