Went online to borders on wed. night last week and was able to pick mine up at the local store with no problems. Brought mine into work and the boss went to the barnes and nobles nearby and got his too with no problem. Since then, no sighting anywhere else.
(I know a few stores pulled it around here)

I just wanted the commentary for this and at times it seems like the writters hated this movie and something they didn't even get.
They didn't seem to know for sure if Kirk was in the Nexas(sp?) for 80 years or just got there. They say in the movie he just got there, that there is no time in the Nexas (SP?)

when Rick Berman introduces the alternate ending, he tries to cover up the fact by saying at first that the decision to change the ending wasn't due to a test audience, but then immediately backtracked and said there was the test audience. by now, he could've gotten his excuse straight before the camera rolled. ha ha.

I noticed a lot of the on-line stores showing 9/28/04 as the release date now.
But not DVDsoon.com who has had mine on Pending since the original release date. Is there any official word?

Leonard Nimoy and Harve Bennett should have copyrighted Spock's death scene and when they blew up the Enterprise.

In contrast, the only one of the six Original Cast movies where the Enterprise is destroyed is Search For Spock. That's also the only one where the self-destruct system is used. Though granted, they crash their commandeered Klingon Bird of Prey in San Francisco Bay at the end of Voyage Home.

Where in the special features list on the back are the trailers listed? I just saw this at Wal-Mart for $14.44, and I didn't see the trailers anywhere on the back.

Well, I finally got it today. It's now selling for $5 more than when I saw it (briefly) on the shelves back on Sept. 7th which kind of pissed me off.
I didn't know what edge enhancement was but I sure do now! Data's face in particular is a shimmery mess and all sorts of backround stuff is very "edgy" looking (the computer graphics on the Enterprise monitors, various rails and fences, the orbital paths of the planets in the Stellar Cartography room, etc.). I only have a 34" widescreen TV so I can't imagine what it's like on a giant projector.
Other than that though, the picture quality is very nice (the colours are great) and the DTS track is terrific. Great audio commentary too.
Question - which audio track is better? Generations' DTS or Nemesis Dolby 5.1?

Thanks for the quick reply.
