I just found out this was coming out! Sheesh. I’ve got a VHS copy of this that gets more play that my copies of Lone Wold and Cub. I am STOKED!!! This is my favorite dub for a movie that I’ve ever heard. Classic.
I think the Supreme Ninja has some of the best dialogue:
“Mmmmmwould ju like to SEE?!”
And the classic mutilation of the
final line.
I am so on this one. Such good times this version has brought me.
OMFG!!! They BETTER use the original dubbing and soundtrack!
A lot of cool history on this thread. For instance, I had no idea that Corman was responsible for this. Between this and Death Race 2000, he has now become one of my official heroes.

i got this dvd a few weeks back. it is almost like watching a brand new movie. the picture is fantastic (except for a few seconds here and there of some footage that could not be restored). the dubbing remains the same as the original. ENJOY!!!!!!

no problem.
some of the shots are reframed according to what animeigo had available, but it still kicks much ass in terms of quality as compared to the bootleg or the PAL dvd.

Heads up....I picked this up at Borders last night. Not due out until next Tuesday. It was priced at $19.99, but paid $13.99 using my 30% off coupon.

Question for anyone who has seen the new Animego release: Is Shogun Assassin closed-captioned?
That's really going to determine whether I buy this or not.
