And no Babylon 5 or Stargate?
Voyager will be added at the beginning of next year. I am in the last 4 months of my anesthesia residency and money is really tight. Babylon 5 will eventually be an addition as well, but I have never watched any of the Stargate SG1 series, so I am not sure when or if they will be added.

How much do you think you spent on materials ?
About $150 including paint.

You have all 3 seasons of Angel, but no Buffy. What gives?
I know, I know. Give me time.

I just stack mine on top of one another on the floor.
It's funny that you say that because all of mine have been just like that for the last 2 months

Yeah, that's what I thought too, but I went and did a little shopping on eBay and I got all three current releases for less than $200. I wasn't about to pay ~$100 for 16-episode Season 1.

I bought all the B5 sets blind. Good series. Got the movie collection coming in the mail as I speak. Probably get it Wednesday.

As for Stargate, it's a great series. If you like Sci-Fi at all, it's one hellava ride. Great continuity, and the one thing that makes it different than most sci-fi series is that Earth is at risk of alien (Goa'uld) attack.

Looks good. How many does it hold?

I just bought some wood to start my own project. Pricey! I designed it and laid it out in a cad program. Has the potential to hold around 816 single disc dvds. I am making a wall mount, and putting a sliding and locking glass front(like the game cabinets at Target/Wal-Mart/etc.).

I have everything but the glass, but I'm not sure when I will get a chance to start on it. I will post some pics when I do.

Very nice SCHMEGGA!

I designed my own dvd-rack as well. It's a bit different but I like the result. I have to confess my dad made it when I finished the design (he is very handy, I am not) I did the painting!

Maybe it will give others some ideas.

Good luck handymen!

I would love to be able to take the time to make home-made storage for my DVDs and CDs but I can't find the time. My brother purchased a nice cedar shelf that holds his entire collection of about 350 but I'm over 1000 now and just moving the system I have now would kill me.

Nice!.. I like the larger shelf areas to hold the gift sets. I want to do something like that someday.

WOW! Both look very good! I hope someday I will have a HT room setup with a storage space like that. Again, excellent work!

It's time to scrap my crappy and small home-made shelf and make a bigger one, so I like seeing ideas. Sadly, I need to baby-proof as well, since we are in a duplex and the living room is the only place to put it, right where our just-about-to-crawl baby will have access to it for the next year. :P

My current design, that I was going to reproduce, has the slanted shelves, which would work well enough for crawling baby hands to not pull off, but once he's walking they won't work, so I made be back at the drawing board.

Thanks, I created them after I started buying giftsets. This is a 'before' picture

Hahaha. Well to be honest I thought about it. I like the film and I own the old dvd. But I heard that the upgrade wasn't really word it. I also don't like the sort of Hip Hop hype surrounding Scarface. But indeed it's a nice giftset.
