DVD Rack-Finally Done! (Large Pics)
I finally have the finished product. I have needed something unique to hold my 450+ DVD collection for some time now. The rack is made of pine and poplar. It is finished in cranberry red milk paint in order to match with the old style antiques we have in our home. You can view the pics at my webpage, or below:

Looks like you're going to have to build a new one soon. ;)
that's some fine craftsmanship
Looks nice but it appears you already need more shelf space!
looks great!
haha and I also agree, by the looks of it you'll be at work again building a new one :) |
I can see Starsky & Hutch 4th shelf up on the right end. Good choice
oooooohh... nice
I see some Star Wars boots... shame.
Great job on the rack. |
very nice indeed. How long did it take you ? Have you already started on the next one ? :)
rather stylish
Very nice. If you don't mind saying what is the height , width and depth of it? Looks like something I would like to have , but probably cut in half.
Good job man,that looks great.

Wow, after seeing just how big that Cylon head Battlestar Galactica set is, I'm glad I got the 2004 re-issue.
Where's your Star Trek Voyager sets? And no Babylon 5 or Stargate? |
I've got a 6 shelf system that's 28.5" across but deep enough to where I can "double row" if I need to. But I also have a 5 shelf system that's 9.5" across that hold alot of my double-alphas and small-width box sets. I also use one more single shelf that's 43" across which I use to hold my Star Trek, Babylon 5, and Alien Quad sets. By the time I get all the Voyager sets, and the last few B5 sets, I probably won't be able to fit the Alien Quad set on it.
I'll post some pics later. |
Very nice!
job well done. a big  for doing it yerself.
Great Job!
You should post up a materials list and instructions :) -- thats one of the nicest shelving units I've seen and I cant even buy it....
Nice rack, but you have too many dvd's you should send some my way.
Beautiful job. How much do you think you spent on materials ?
You have all 3 seasons of Angel, but no Buffy. What gives?:) Nice rack, I like the color that you chose for the finish.
Very nice! I'd like to have something just like that only smaller. I need it for the overflow as I have filled up three cabinets and looking for a third cabinet or shelving type unit.
Very nice job! See....I need something like that...I just stack mine on top of one another on the floor. :(
Veeeeeeeery nice! Good job!
