I love the music video on Ghost World!

Recently viewed bonus material that I've loved:

-Making of doc on Russian Ark. Blew me away how they made that flick.

-Commentary track on The Kid Stays in the Picture.

-the american version of Insomnia's commentary track where Nolan discusses the film in the order it was shot

I know I'm probably the only person who owns this disc, but if you can get your hands on a Dill Scallion DVD, the commentary track on it is one of the funniest ever.

Otherwise, I'd have to go along with others that have already been mentioned:

* Any Kurt Russell commentary
* The 12 Monkeys doc
* Spinal Tap in-character commentary
* The Magnolia color bars

One more great bonus:

The Max Fisher Player segments on the Criterion "Rushmore" disc (from the MTV Movie Awards)

DonnachaOne 02-12-08 02:25 PM

The deleted scene featuring Denis Leary from Natural Born killers.

I would say the making of Jaws documentary if it wasn't chopped in half! :mad:

I agree with the Spinal Tap commentary. If I had to pick just one, it would be that one.

Can't comment on the football one.

Universal finally made the full length Jaws documentary available on the 20th Anniversary DVD. Check it out.

Hah, you named one of my favorites. That clip rocked the house! I'll often dig that disk out just to show friends how crazy 1960's Bollywood was!

Also, I'll cast a vote for Joe Bob Briggs' commentary on I Spit on Your Grave. One of the best, funniest commentaries ever!

Stigmata deleted scene. Amazing. Should have been kept in the movie.

Rules of Attraction - Carrot Top commentary track.

Cabin Fever hidden Deputy stuff.

Out of four pages no one has yet to mention the ten minute cooking schools on Robert Rodriguez's dvds. Thats fun and useful information.

Ugh. Making tortillas from scratch? No thanks. Yeah, I could cook all sorts of shit if I did all my work from home and had a zillion dollar kitchen...

Don't know on how many DVD's Rodriguez has done that schtick as an extra but most of this thread is older than Sin (City).

aw crap two more movies I have to throw into my Amazon wish list.

I really liked the commentary/video branching (of cast members) for Fame (with director Alan Parker giving his final thoughts of the film in video form was a great surprise).

He has done two of them. One is on Once upon a time In Mexico, the other on the Sin City SE. He is supposed to have one on the next grindhouse dvd whenever we see that.

After all these years two oldies still hold up as my favorites:

* The Hampster Effect on 12 Monkeys
* Kevin Smith Commentaries - Almost every other one I listen to is boring by comparison

The parodies on LOTR
digital short on V for Vendetta
Menus on Girls will be Girls and Harold and Kumar (almost as entertaining as the movies)

Speaking of that Ring easter egg, here is an embarrassing moment confession.

I had just watched that movie, late late at night, totally alone. I'll confess that the movie creeped me out quite a bit.

After the movie I was scanning the special features, and found that button that says "don't click here".

Well, I shouldn't have clicked. I have never had a more visceral moment of fear, or any emotion, than that moment when I clicked that button and "the video" started playing. I am normally not that much of a wimp, really, but something about my emotional state at that moment, the circumstances, the movie, whatever, literally scared me to tears. It was a moment I'll never forget.
