That's the point - I saw the original a few years back and it was probably the worst movie I've ever seen.

Both the effects and the acting were laughable and the music was most likely the most annoying thing I've ever heard.

The so-called "social commentary" had the subltety of a sledgehammer and the whole thing was boring.

I've seen Troma flicks with better effects, better acting and better scripts.

Strangely enough I love the original Night of the Living Dead - but that's the only worthwhile thing that Romero has ever done IMHO.

The remake of Dawn of the Dead was one of the best (if not THE best) horror movie I've ever seen.

Maybe this stuff should go into the movie talk forum....I just came into this forum for DVD talk, and that's what this thread was started about, the UNRATED dvd...But the tone switched almost immediately to a discussion of which film sucks/why it sucks/why it's great/who's stupid for liking it, etc....

Yeah this should go in the Move Talk forum. Back to the OT... this release looks great, and will make Halloween a wonderful holiday (along with all of the other great horror DVDs coming out).
