Re-Animator: New Millennium Edition?

Anyone have any info on this
http://www.dvdempire.com/Exec/v4_ite...item_id=619753
Is it a reissue? a single disc downgrade? a new set?

I couldn't find anything on Elite's site about it. It quite possibly could be a 1 disc.

After DVD Empire toyed with my emotions on the "Weird"Al Video DVD, I don't believe stuff on their site stating things "New"...

My money is on what speedy said.

So, price reduction or overall downgrade?

From what little info I've gleaned from the various online retailers, it seems to me that we're looking at the same two-disc set, but perhaps without the green amaray case.

I've wanted to pick up the ME for awhile now, and I don't know whether to jump on the remaining inventory or wait till whatever happens in September... ack! Anybody got the official info?

I really don't know what it'll be.

I doubt that they'd drop the second disc... they've already released a single disc edition of the movie, so it doesn't seem like there's any point in doing that again, but I could be wrong.

A new case/artwork might possible, especially if they're going through the trouble of making it a re-release with a new UPC number. Which it looks they're doing, because price-drops don't usually warrant a second release, do they?

And I doubt it's just a DVDEmpire thing, because it's also up on Amazon.

If you go on Amazon.com it lists it as the 2 disc version but with DTS

I'd wager it's simply a price drop on the existing Millennium Edition DVD, which, yes, has always contained a DTS track.

What I meant was Amazon.com's current release comes up but under the other formats description it lists the new one as "DVD widescreen with DTS Stereo"

Anybody have any new information on this new listing for the Milennium edition of Re-Animator?
It's listed for $13.99 on Amazon and I'm tempted to finally upgrade from my Single disc SE at that price...

$13.99 is a GREAT price for the ME. But the cheapskate in me hopes that Deep Discount DVD will match or beat that.

Beware of DDD and "Re-Animator."

I remember, not too long ago, people were ordering the Re-Animator ME and getting the old version.

This is the double disc in the green box. It's the same thing, just cheaper.

The two-disc version of Re-Animator is available at Borders for $14.99 ($12.75 with the current coupon.) It looks like there was a price reduction on the set.

I know this isn't exactly the place, but is "Bride of Re-Animator" any good? A local store has the Pioneer version for $8 and I was wondering if it's worth picking up.

Got it last night with the Border's coupon (Towson, MD).

Unrelated: If you go tonight, John Waters will be there signing stuff from 6-8PM. I plan on having him sign my copy of William Castle's autobiography "I'm Gonna Scare the Pants Off America!" (He wrote an intro to the book).
