shawagg- in the past I've bought tins from the Disney Store at my local mall without the white security stickers. Nothing to worry about in my opinion.
By the way, I called after placing my order online and asked them to upgrade the shipping to Priority Mail. They mailed it out within 2 days and said it will arrive in under a week. I think the Priority Mail added $5 to the shipping of my order of 4 Wave 1 tins. |
I just ordered another wave 1 to ebay!
|
So taking your sound advice, I've signed up with the club and ordered the first two Treasures sets. I had to place seperate orders for each set (presumably so they could charge me postage twice, but whatever). I did all this within the last 90 minutes, but so far have received no confirmation emails of my initial membership or my orders.
How long did it take for the initial discs to ship? The Treasures orders? Thanks to all who posted their experiences here with this plan. |
are you all just signing up to the club, or using some sort of code to get a better deal? I'm just so weary of that buy 5 more in the next 12 months standard offer.

They’re hardly “ridiculously low” at $30 a pop without shipping. But low compared to ebay (where I hope to actually have a bit of cash flowing in for a change)
And don't worry, the confirmation email will come through. |
Originally posted by MorE808 So I just got all my tins in the mail, very nicely bubble-wrapped. One thing puzzles me. For some reason, the Complete Goofy Tin that I also ordered, didn't have the blue band around it? It's still sealed, and all of them have it except this one... Is there a reason for this? Anyone? Thanks BTW, Davy Crockett, Disneyland USA, and Silly Symphonies available Disney Tins FS |
Goofy does come with one. But I bought mine in a store.

There's pretty much nowhere else to get Wave One with tins (let alone sealed). |
By the way what is the limit per wave for each person? Is it 3 waves per person?

Originally posted by dick_grayson I think it says 3 copies of each wave per household. |
As an alternative, you can get the Dutch versions for 15 EUROs!

Vanaf heden niet meer verkrijgbaar in de "Tin Can"-verpakking???

I guess you can email them and ask. Also note that the R2 released of SS has the Jewish mask. The R1 doesn’t. Clock Cleaners is the same on both R1 and R2 (I have a DVD with both these uncensored). |
A fond "aloha" to the Wave 1 Treasures as they have now sailed off into the brilliant eBay sunset...

The Disney Movie Club quietly dropped the Wave 1 Treasures off their website:(
|
AWWWWW :(
Oh well at least I have another set on the way. And maybe I can still make some money off of wave 2. |
I actually ordered a set a day before they went off the site, and have received the shipping confirmation. I just wonder if I ordered the last one? I'm very glad that I did not hold off on purchasing it any longer!

Ok, now here's my plea:
I know a few of you ordered extra sets for ebay. Now remember why you ordered the set in the first place. Because those bloodsuckers on ebay won't give up these DVDs to those who need them without a fistfull of cash. Now I NEED this set (as a whole or without the Disneyland USA, it soesn't matter). What I'm looking for is someone who will be kind enough to sell them to me at cost plus shipping, no profit. I know it is a terrible thing to ask, but your fellow board-member needs help... So how about it? Anyone? |
Whew!! Just received my confirmations that Waves 1 & 2 shipped to me yesterday from Disney Movie Club. Sounds like I got in in the nick of time. Thanks to everyone here who wrote about this offer and told of your experiences with it.
