<strike>I'd have to say that I like the remake more too. (Puts on flame-retardant suit.) And I like the remake of NotLD more than the original too.</strike>

Sorry Static. :)

Static Cling 05-02-04 11:38 AM

This is not another thread for the "remake ruled vs. remake sucked" battle to be fought in. I swear, people getting so upset about this movie because it has running zombies and all the other crap is approaching the tiredness of the Lucas hatred regarding his altering of the original trilogy.

This is a thread about the unrated DVD release... threadcrap rules still apply. Thanks.

nrose101 05-10-04 02:45 PM

When are they going to annonce the official release date, it is taking forever!

DRG 05-10-04 03:20 PM

I wish they'd use the Japanese poster artwork for the cover...

Either way, this sucker will be mine.

DVDude! 05-10-04 06:22 PM

I like that poster art too. However, it doesn't have floating heads of the stars so it's probably out. *sigh*

i don't think any of the posters so far have had floating heads or a wide cast shot.

Why the hell did this thread pop back up in my "subscribed threads" coumn in my control panel? I got the hint the first time and also shut my damn mouth after I was told to. Where the hell was this response when I started a Thread about Tobe hooper and Zombies.........that nobody stuck to? Give me a f****** break already.

I REALLY want info on this unrated dvd. Anyone know something I don't? Other than 25 extra min, Andys video diary...?

BlackBeauty92 05-17-04 07:03 PM

i just saw this last week at $2 cinema.. not bad, but felt like some information was missing through out the movie... little bit here & there...

so, i hope the extra 25 minutes would clear things up.

looking forward for the DVD (the extended/director's cut that is)

Does anyone think this might not be released on July 26th? It comes out in two months and no details for the release have been announced.

Weirder things have happened through. Like the Alien Quadrilogy being announced a bit more than a month before it's release or The Ring being announced a month and a half before it's release.

Gizmo 05-17-04 09:52 PM

They may be holding out till October because #1 Its halloween and #2 The huge 3/4/5/6/84 disc boxset may be coming out. Who knows.

True, but I want a release now! NOW! CAN'T WAIT MUCH LONGER! GRRRRRR.

At least if it doesn't come out 7/26, I got Girl Next Door the month after. :)

I hated the remake and Zack Snyder destroyed my warm childhood memories of shambling zombies. Looking forward to the extended DVD, though!

sven 05-18-04 03:19 PM

Maybe this will show what happens when they leave the gun shop. The first guy leave then all of a sudden they are all down the drain but the one guy who was originally down there. Something had to happen between those two points.

dawn of the dead '04 dvd news?

cover art has already surfaced and i think i saw a july 20 something release date but with july coming up,has anybody heard any concrete details? and is the unrated dvd version true?

deepest blue 05-23-04 02:26 PM

im excited about this dvd,saw the movie twice in the theater(not sober i might add lol)and i was surprised of all the gore..hopefully the 25 extra minutes rumor is true since i wouldnt mind at all to have a zombie movie over 2 hours long..

I'll be happy if they use the original theatrical artwork... The poster was probably one of the best for a horror movie in the last 5 years... that Japanese art really doesn't do it for me... in fact, I quite dislike it! to each their own.. can't wait for this disc!

Yes, my friends and I were talking about this exact scene. It's a really weird way that they have it edited together in the movie. One moment, they're in gun shop, then the next second, SOMEHOW they managed to get by the zombies outside and half of them are back in the sewer.

sven 05-23-04 08:38 PM

Glad I wasnt the only one that noticed. It did bother me that much at all but the extra footage would be nice.

nrose101 05-27-04 10:54 AM

bump

nrose101 05-27-04 10:55 AM

What is happening with this? Universal annonces a Van Helsing Release date (which is still in theaters) The july (speculative date) is comming up soon and no announcement yet. Has anyone heard anything????!!!????

Seantn 05-27-04 12:54 PM

Welll...at first it was rumored to be July 27th....but then over on Home Theater Forum a bunch of people were saying that their distributors were telling them that it had possibly been bumped back to OCTOBER. That would suck, because I want it now!
