Any reviews up for 'Zorba the Greek' yet?

I thought I would bump this up since it was hard to find this thread (apparantly you can't search the forums for the word "Fox" because its too short)

Any new news or releases announced? Did the excitement of this line of dvds die down or did the original creator of this thread become busy? I appreciated the info and hope someone can update the info.

there was a rumor Fox will be announcing its Q1 2005 Studio Classics along with news of its new Noir Classics line in early November. Looking forward to seeing the announcement!

If this noir line is done as well as the Studio Classics line I'm going to be in heaven. I haven't bought many Studio Classics discs yet because most of them aren't things that sound very interesting to me, but the handful that I do have or have seen have all been wonderful. I hope as much care goes into these noir titles becaue I'll buy every one, regardless of the quality of the film.

Three Coins in the Fountain is coming out soon - I think that it is part of this line.

Sorry, I have been busy. I heard news of an announcement of 2005 titles will be in the next two weeks, so I've been holding off for a big update until then.

Some of the newer releases in this collection do not state that they are widescreen ANAMORPHIC, can some confirm or deny that they are in fact NOT anamorphic?

Every widescreen release in the FSC series so far has been anamorphic.

This line is my favorite (next to criterion). The price to extras/quality ratio is just incredible. I agree that the noir line should be this good! I especially cannot wait for Laura.

Got my big fox shipment in and I've got all but 5 of these. I was very dissapointed by Desk Set, which while it had some clever moments was pretty dumb overall. This is really my first dissapointment from this line. I didn't much like Titanic either but the set had a full length documentary to make up for it. Desk Set had some trailers and that's about it.

I watched The Prime of Jean Brodie yesterday and it was very good. It turned out to be a very different movie than I thought it was going to be.

Also, a heads up. Leave Her to Heaven is listed at 7.49 on amazon. I've never seen it but the price is nice.

Here's a bit of a "heads-up" on the next Fox Studio Classics releases, courtesy of Barrie Maxwell's page of at The Digital Bits:

"According to Fox publicity, future Studio Classics titles (possibly for November) will include The Rains Came (1939), No Way Out (1950), and Two for the Road (1967)."

As there was only a three-month lag between the last two releases, let's hope that ETA of November 2005 is way off.

Wow, awesome. I've never seen this one but I've been wanting it for quite a while. It looks like it has a LOT going for it.

Very sad to see the commentaries go. Although they weren't all great, a lot of them helped to give a bit of history/context to the films.

And, where the sweet hell is LIFEBOAT?
