[dodging flames] Apparently, Affleck has sworn off action movies... which is a shame. I liked Daredevil. [/dodging flames]

Well, she obviously didn't get herself killed. Remember that "glimmer of hope" ending where she left the necklace for Murdock to find?

I guess I was the only one who was disappointed with the original. Watched it last night, and it was a snore-fest. No plot, no real character development. Maybe the added footage will salvage it, but I doubt it. Also Elektra was SUCH a weak character. She's like geared up to go out and kick ass as a super hero and on her 1st outing she stabs her boyfriend then gets herself killed. Lame.

Of course, the necklace only has emotional impact (as I recall, I haven't seen it since the theater) if she left it before she went out and died . . .

I thought the general dark tone of DD was good, but the editing sucked. I couldn't figure out what was going on in that fight scene in the bar.
I'm looking forward to the director's cut to see what changes have been made.

From DVDAnswers:
Fox Home Entertainment has officially announced the director's cut of Daredevil which stars Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner and Colin Farrell. This brand new single-disc release will be available to own from the 30th November this year, and should set you back around $19.98 in total. The film will be presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen along with English DTS 5.1, Dolby Digital 5.1, Spanish Dolby Surround and French Dolby Surround tracks. The only extra material will be a new audio commentary by director Mark Steven Johnson and Ari Arad and a Making of the Director's Cut featurette. As for the director's cut itself, around twenty-minutes of additional footage has been added, bringing the total runtime to 124 minutes. I'm afraid the artwork has yet to be released, but we'll bring you that shortly. Stay tuned.

I'm still on the fence about this release. I actually like the first cut of the film. I'll wait for a review on the DC first.
