Daredevil Director's Cut in April
From SuperHeroHype:
Scooper 'sabbath86' picked up on another thing that was mentioned today in Marvel's Webcast... I was listening to the Marvel Analyst Day Webcast on marvel.com and Avi Arad said that the Daredevil Director's Cut DVD will come out in April. |

More blood always = Better movie! |
Don't know if I'll double dip on this one or not. Depends on how much is different.
|
Can they use some CGI to replace Ben Affleck ?
|
30 minutes more, a little more blood and gore.
|
This might be pretty good. The whole time I watched it I couldn't help but think that the movie could have used more in the way of plot and character development which I'm hoping this director's cut dvd will provide. Let's hope that it's not a director's cut with a few seconds of blood and violence like Charlies Angels.
|
I’m glad I held off on the DVD.
|
Very nice
I was skeptical if this was going to come out, but it seems like it is. |
ha....nice.......this one I WILL NOW pick up for sure. Thank you for the news!!
|
Hmm..I might have to purchase this when it comes out.
Glad I held off on buying the current DVD. |
I picked up the original at Target for $10, so I may go with this one as well. I'll have to watch the theatrical one more time to convince myself otherwise, but from what I remember I enjoyed it pretty well.
Maybe it'll be thirty more minutes of Jennifer Garner kickin' ass and takin' names. More Jennifer never hurt anyone... This is some good news...I wonder if it will be called Daredevil 1.5... |
More great news - can't wait!

i doubt that. the sex scene was suposed to be cut in the first place, but they wanted to heat things up last second.

YAY! COOLIO GETS HIS DUE!
"From Mark Steven Johnson via SuperheroHype.com: “...I'm sitting on the mixing stage right now, finishing the Director's Cut. It's 35 minutes of additional footage (nearly 1/3 of the theatrical running time). Thank God for DVD. It will be up to you to decide if it's indeed better or not, but rest assured it's a very different version of the movie. No release date is set yet, they may wait and use it to kick off the Elektra movie. But know that it is definitely being done and it will indeed include everything that was cut from the theatrical release. There is the murder case that Matt and Foggy take, lots of courtroom drama, Matt's own investigation into the case, heaps 'o violence, and the Kingpin gets to show why he's such a bad ass. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long...”" Wow, you'd swear there was a thread on this already! |

Good...
not buying all DVD that I want on the release day starts to pay!... I'm just buying the one that I REALLY want (and that I know they can potentialy do better, like the LotR -Platinum...) I wonder when "T3 - Armageddon Edition" will come out?? |
Good news.
What's is the Marvel Analyst Day Web cast? Is there a transcript. WOuld love to hear Arad's take on all things Marvel. |
Maybe the director's cut will explain:
Why a private attorney is trying a criminal rape case. How Elektra was magically brought back to life after being run through with a knife, heart stopped beating and discovered by the cops which would mean that her identity would have been known and recovery be in the news. ;) Doug |

I won't be picking this up. The current Daredevil DVD is good enough for me. While not an especially great film, I enjoyed it. If they are going to release another version of the DVD, they should say so up front like with LoTR Two Towers so I can chose which one I want to get.
