My library had most of the Criterion laserdiscs along with other great box sets. They have DVDs, but I never visit anymore. The University of Iowa's library has a good selection of Criterion DVDs.

Actually, libraries don't rent DVDs, or any other materials. they are borrowed. There is a late charge if a loan item is being returned late. In general, libraries do not rent their materials, only borrowed.
