Duckman on dvd??

Any news on a duckman release on dvd???

majorjoe23 08-04-03 12:06 PM

I don't think there's been any news, but a few years ago I was talking with some friends and said "Duckman needs to be on Comedy Central!" Within a month, it was on the air.

Sooooo:

"Duckman needs to be on DVD!"

I promise to use my powers only for good.

NYSoprano 08-04-03 11:15 PM

let me try...

"i need a million dollars!"

sparks 08-05-03 08:30 AM

I was a ardent fan when it was on the USA network, but I don't know how many were produced and how many actually aired.

I still see Duckman whenever I see Jason Alexander...I guess that's why they don't let you see or hear the actors doing the voices of the "Simpsons!"

So, when it does come out, I will get my copy!!!:D

Cusm 08-05-03 04:16 PM

The whole cast was the liek the whole cast of The Tracy Ulman Show.

MrBob 08-05-03 05:12 PM

I have the whole series on VCD and saddly that is most likely as good as it will get.

I have learned to never say never when it comes to DVD. When I have broken down and bought a set on VCD or DVD-R, a DVD set of it is announced not too long after the fact. And at the rate these TV shows are coming to DVD, somewhere there is some body planning a Duckman DVD.

zoid 06-13-04 08:06 AM

I would buy Duckman on DVD in a second.

Presuming Ed 06-13-04 11:33 AM

What do you do?

I look at breasts ....... and I'm a private detective. But mostly the breast thing.

In a heartbeat.

zoid 06-14-04 06:34 AM

Who owns the DVD rights to Duckman?

I have seen a few episodes of Duckman and it is demented and funny!

We have posted a petition, started by Jared Martin, on our website at www.moonlighting21.com because Jeff Reno and Ron Osborn, executive producers of Duckman, also wrote and produced episodes of Moonlighting.

Here's the link to the petition to release Duckman on DVD.

Sign and forward it to all your friends!

What the hell, I'll sign, loved Duckman.

(not 100% sure that a petition will work however)

Definitely not 100% sure that it won't though :)

Oh yeah, I'll second that  re: Duckman

zoid 04-01-05 10:00 PM

It seems Paramount owns the rights to Duckman.

Mike Lowrey 04-01-05 10:28 PM

I'm confused. What series was this? A cartoon or live-action, and when did it air?

zoid 04-02-05 12:03 AM

It ran from 1994 to 1997 on the USA network. It was a cartoon & you can see some bad quality clips here http://www.comedycentral.com/tv_shows/duckman/
On top the clips it says Duckman is on at 2:30am Sundays on comedy cental but I don't think that's true.

vice86 03-01-06 09:53 AM

Almost a year since the last post...and still nothing :( I want this on DVD!!!

I found a site that sells all the episodes on DVD....ripped from TV I'm sure so probably not the best quality...I rather wait though

BOOTLEGGING SITES AREN"T ALLOWED HERE

majorjoe23 03-01-06 11:59 AM

That link will probably be removed, bootlegs are frowned upon.

Sweet Jesus...70 episodes on FOUR dvds?!? That's 17½ eps, or nearly SEVEN HOURS, per disc! The quality must suck worse than the MPG/DiVX versions you can download from your friendly neighborhood P2P service.

If I ever get around to copying my complete VHS collection to DVD, there's no way I'd put more than 6 or 7 episodes per disc -- otherwise the quality would be unwatchable.

Johnny Zhivago 03-01-06 04:16 PM

:(

No news...

mndtrp 03-01-06 08:17 PM

I miss this show. It was one of my late-night-you're-supposed-to-be-in-bed-awwwwww, mom favorites.

I'd like to get it on dvd.

TheNightFlier 03-01-06 08:34 PM

I would love to see this come out on DVD. I caught a couple episodes at 3 or 4 in the morning on a Saturday night on USA about a month ago.

You bumped a 7 month old thread to post this? The moderator already edited his post with "BOOTLEGS ARE NOT ALLOWED HERE" 7 months ago. I think he gets he point, your almost as annoying by bumping this to post what you did.

Actually he bumped it with some information he shouldn't have posted, his message was edited to that by an admin.

domino harvey 01-06-08 12:35 AM

TVShowsonDVD just posted a studio exec saying this is coming in 2008

Peep 01-06-08 02:41 AM

Ah, I can possibly put my self-made DVD's to rest.

Still, what are the chances that sales will warrent the release of all 4 seasons? Also, I hope CBS gets their crap together and releases them in the order they were produced and originally intended to air.

The TV Shows on DVD article says, "Exact street date or pricing has not yet been set for Duckman, but it's possible that multiple seasons will be released within one package next year," so I'm guessing it'll be something like the Dr. Katz collection (though hopefully they won't release two seasons before the complete series set).

Hopefully this means there's some hope for Daria and The Maxx.

I think there is zero chance of this happening, they'd never be able to clear the music rights

i86time 01-06-08 06:30 PM

Time to thrust the pelvis. Let's hope this series sees a different fate than that which befell TV Funhouse.

I hope they do just release a complete series set. That's actually a technique I want to see become more commonplace. With smaller niche shows like this just dump the entire thing into one set for the fans and move on.

Qrusher14242 01-07-08 05:53 PM

looks like Season 1 & Season 2 will be together in a boxset since they were kinda short

Peep 06-02-08 02:34 AM

Starting to show up as pre-orders!!!!
