Fastlane
I was wondering if this would be released as a box set or do you think it will be like miami vice and will be stopped due to expensive music rights.
I don't know if there are alot of fastlane fans out there, I liked it it was kinda funny and had pretty good action scenes. Look, I wasn't expecting a gritty documentry-stlye show on undercover cops but it was fun dammit!

I loved Fastlane and was pissed when it was cancelled, but then again...what can ya do...
The music thing might hurt it. I'd LOVE to see a box set and I'd buy it the day it came out.

at the cost of production for each show.. I believe they will try to get as much as they can back. I wouldn't be surprised if a box set comes out. but I wouldn't hold your breath.

I voted on this show at tvondvd.com I liked the show as well. Just at a million at episode, it cost too much to produce for the ratings it was getting.

Yeah, which makes it strange to see that they haven't released it on dvd yet to recoup their costs. I saw they were gonna start airing this show on C o u r t T v soon, maybe after that... Do they ever air the show in HD still?
(Why does it say Spongebob Squarepants every time i type out C o u r t T v?)

You guys have to remember this is a Warner Brother's Title, they usually don't release one season television shows. This is why "Birds of Prey" has yet to be released as well, which would have made a great tie-in in "Catwoman" and "Batman Begins."

I loved this show, and would definitely buy a DVD if it were ever released. Ah well, here's hoping.
I also wanted to try this: CourtTV.
Edit: Oh. Maybe SpongeBob SquarePants?
Edit2: Ha! What fun.

Good to see I replied four years ago...I have the same sediments now - I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I have them all downloaded on my computer, but I'd really like a nice boxset.

I can't believe I did not post in this thread last time. I would be all over a release of fastlane. If it had a conclusion I would be waiting in line on release day. I am sure music will keep us from ever seeing this on DVD though.

Someone asked about Fastlane at a fairly recent official chat (it was probably posted on tvshowsondvd). Anyway, the response was no plans for a release because music costs would be too high.

I only watched the pilot and thought it was pretty good. How did the series go the rest of the way? Did episode 22 have any closure or did it end on a cliffhanger?

Awesome news...but I will not buy if the music is altered in a big way. That was a very important part of the show.
