I highly doubt the v2 will be out anytime before x-mas if at all, I bet they just do trade in's since maybe 1% of the DVD buying public is aware of the fact of the framing problem.

I sent mine in on April 2nd and received the replacements on April 18th. From what I've seen of the replacements so far, getting to see Marty's jacket blink in 2015 when it needed adjusting or drying makes it worth the trouble. The whole bottom of the shot was cut off before....I'm very happy I sent mine in.

Ok, I'm sending mine in... what did you guys use for the "Reason" you are requesting a replacement? I need to write something down...

Is it true that the improper framing is only for 2 minutes during BTTF2 and 4 minutes during BTTF3? I thought it was for the entire movie (I never acutally watched mine once I heard of the problem).

Question: I got my BTTF box set for Xmas. So I have no reciept and its been opened. Can I still trade this in w/o a receipt. And one other thing, where do you get the form and addy to send to Universal for a replacement. I must say I completely missed all the info when it was given however many months ago it was. Thanx.

Sent mine a couple days ago. Wanted to make sure Universal didn't fudge up the returns before putting my discs in their hands

I sent out my disks on the 8th of April and received them yesterday. (A little over 2 weeks)

For those of you who haven't received your disks back from February - I'd let them know about it. Something is definitely not right.

I did notice that the 2nd and 3rd disks are silver - compared to the gold disk of BTTF 1. Were the same type of disks used in the V1 for the 3 movies?

Looking to trade?

Anybody have a extra corrected Version 2 of Back To the Future that they wouldn't mind swapping? Let me know and I'll send you my trade list. Thanks.

i just called, told my situation and name, and she looked me up. she told me the addy they had on the computer, and i verified it. sounds great so far! looks like my bttf saga is nearly done.

just call them! i called for the last three fridays, including today. i waited until my mail came first, though. ah, what a relief.

I called, and the girl said they only were set up there to send the envelopes! Is there another number? How can people who sent it 2 weeks ago have them, and those of us who sent 2 months ago do not????????????

Does anyone have a picture of what the new packaging should look like? I'm still waiting for them to hit the shelves.

The only packaging change will be a "V2" near the UPC code.

For what its worth I didnt go thru the prepaid envelope step. Just sent them in an envelope, put the cheap postage on, and two weeks later I had em.

I'm in the same mess you are--sent them in during February and didn't get scratch back. You'll need to call 972-293-5903 (you pay the toll charge if it applies), and give them an earful. Today was my third time calling and the CSR was super polite and apologetic. I got a tracking number and I'll have to sign for the package whenever UPS decides to deliver it.

That number is only good during 9-5 Central Time, Monday thru Friday so also take that into consideration, although you can leave a message on their answering machine and they'll call you back.

Good Luck.

Wow--OK, I called for my envelope 3 weeks ago. I received it about a week later. I sent my discs in and I received my replacements about 10 days later. I don't know why it was so fast, except that I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area where both their offices are.

Mine arrived today, but.....

Nobody was home so UPS left their "we'll be back tomorrow" post-it note.

Wow... UPS actually leaves you notes? If we're not here when they arrive, they toss the package on the front deck and drive off. Rather annoying, given that someone might come along and swipe it.

Sent my discs off about a week and a half ago. With any luck I'll see the replacements soon
