Man, this title is up in the top 5 of my want-list.
Since it's over four months before its scheduled release, I'm wondering if a few emails to Fox might inspire them to do this one right (i.e. anamorphic widescreen).
If so, do any of you have a contact address? I can't find anything at their website.

I happen to be very excited about the release of this dvd, I hope that it is released widescreen like Foul Play. Both Colin Higgins and both classic.

Around Two weeks away from release day and it is still not in a lot of retailers (internet and Physical stores) databases. What is the deal? I hope that we can confirm soon that it will be in anamorphic widescreen. All of the retailers that do have it listed seem to have it listed as fullscreen. I know in another Silver Streak thread someone said that they got a letter from the studio saying that it will be available in widescreen but did not specify if that was anamorphic widescreen.

The DVD is anamorphic widescreen (1.85:1). The only extra for the movie is a trailer, along with trailers for other Fox catalog titles. There is an insert card.

Thanks for the news. The lack of extras is fine with me, since the transfer will indeed be Anamorphic Widescreen.

Is the dvd a flipper with both fullscreen and anamorphic widescreen or is a single sided disc?

What is with all of these retailers not having Silver Streak in their databases? I went to five stores today and all of them did not have the dvd. Best Buy was the only one with it in their databases. Borders, FYE, Coconuts, Tower Records all did not have it in their databases and didn't know what I was talking about. A lot of online retailers do not list the movie either. I think I will just bite the bullet and order it online at DDD and pay for second day airmail. Since there is no tax, that pays for a portion of the shipping charge.

Just saw this at BJ's today. It was widescreen, but I don't recall any other specs. I think it was like 8.99 or so, it was in one of those big display stands with the sub-10$ disks.
