Nada, but i'd like to have...

Traffic, Spartacus, 8 1/2, Samurai Trilogy, all Kurosawa, and probably more.

I began collecting them about 2 months ago, and I've mostly only purchased those that I can find used, on sale, or films I really wanted. Since most are blind buys, I try to get them as cheaply as possible, with my average price so far, being $15.75 when all averaged together. I figure I'll just take my time getting them, and use the same pattern of buying to find the best deals.

The Naked Kiss
M (Special Edition)
Diabolique
Armageddon
Chasing Amy
Beastie Boys Anthology
The Royal Tenenbaums
The Importance of Being Earnest
Le Corbeau
Port of Shadows
Lord of the Flies
Short Cuts
My Own Private Idaho

Eh, barely any.
-The Adventures of Antoine Doinel boxset
-The Hitchcock boxset
-Man Bites Dog

I hope to get Eyes without a Face, Touchez pas au Gribsi and My Man Godfrey soon. It's not that I don't like criterions, I've SEEN most of the great ones, but I really just don't want to shell out the money for them.

I have been buying for like 3 years now, i only pick up certain ones new (like kurosawa, or soemthing i have seen and loved like fear and loathing and chasing amy), most i pick up used for less than 15, or i trade for them on the dvd exchange site. I don't love them all, but i give them a chance because of the name criterion. i figure that broadens my knowledge of films, while feeding my addiction to owning things that are numbered.

I bought my first two yesterday, Rashomon and M. The Virgin Megastore here in Downtown Disney was having a sale on all Kurosawa, and many other Criterion, for the release of Kagemusha which they were actually displaying on one of their TVs.

I have picked up several since my last post (on Oct. 03 2004.) EDIT: I didn't see my later post on 10-05-04...

030 - M (First Printing) - $12.24
037 - Time Bandits - $17.99 (the same day as Seven Samurai)
041 - Henry V - $17.99 (also the same day)
108 - The Rock (I got it, another copy of Robocop: CC and the Evil Dead II Tin for $20.68...)
163 - Hopscotch - $12.24
266 - The King of Kings - $28.99

Of my 28 titles, most were purchased used, I have only bought the following new:
