And total agreement on They Live. I've got the R1 (for good pq) and the R2 (for commentary), but I'd love to see Uni gets off their asses and give us full-on SE's for both They Live AND Carpenter's criminally underrated Prince of Darkness. And Village of the Damned while they're at it.

Great news. I really hope this gets a BD release, but I won't bitch and moan if it doesn't. We've been waiting so long I just want it to look good and have a fuck ton of extras.

It's all a bit muddled really but Carpenter refuses (or at least refused a few years back) to do anything with O'Bannon for a DVD release. In his letter to me, Carpenter did not divulge any details but *speculation* seems to be he was a bit miffed that O'Bannon took some of the ideas (O'Bannon) wrote for "Dark Star" and incorporated then into his "Alien" screenplay.
