Here is the Trioxin narration, may not be exact words.
"In the Fall of 1969, the Darrel Chemical company, under contract to the US Army, conducted a series of secret experiments with a new biological weapon called 245-Trioxin. According to reports, the chemical was a catalyst in genetic reactivation. What this meant and why Trioxin was useful has never been revealed. But one thing is certain. Trioxin was soon considered too dangerous and volatile, even for experimental use. Interest in the lethal compound was abandoned several years ago. The Army will not comment other than to say, All Trioxin has been destroyed."

Anyway if it ever airs on those channels. I would like to check it out. Even worse about our new Direct TV system. We don't get Showtime Beyond, which aired plenty of rare/obscure cult titles, most of which MGM released. Ahh how I miss that channel as I rarely if ever view the others.

Warner Brothers participated in an online chat with www.hometheaterforum.com tonight and they announced that "Return of the Living Dead part 2 will be 16x9 (widescreen) and will be coming out in time for (this) Halloween" and that "there will be a commentary" though they didn't say who will be on it.

A smaller concern, but... will they release it in a keepcase so it won't look goofy between 1 and 3?

So here's what we know..
www.dvdfile.com reports that the "ROTLD 2" DVD *will* have a commentary by director Ken Wiederhorn and co-star Thor Van Lingen. Theatrical trailer. Brand new anamorphic widescreen transfer. Release date is October 5th, 2004. Retails for $19.95. The case will NOT be a snapper (yay!)

If you read reviews over at Amazon, some are indeed saying that the DVD will in fact have the new soundmix that's been included on certain movie channel broadcasts in the last year.
Hate to say I told you so.....

i just read the posts at amazon.com. oh well, $15 i will use on something else.
someone asked about this DVD at the warner chat months back but unfortunately didnt ask what soundtrack would be used, it would have been interesting to hear what the answer would have been.

However, for some odd reason, the French language track has the original soundtrack on it.

i just rented and watched this last night. what a bad movie. the music was horrible. the acting..well you know. the commentary by the two were stitched together and it was almost like they wanted to so badly say this movie was such a horrible disaster when making, but they don't quite. Both Ken and the kid really sidestep so much and just talk fluff about oh look here comes this part and here is this zombie with this makeup. they seem to look back and watch and know deep down this was disastorous. just my opinion from listening anyway!
