Some DVDs now have new hologram slipcovers

These are what I've seen so far:

X-Men
X-Men 2
Terminator
Walking Tall
Alien
Predator
Alien VS Predator
Robocop
Transporter

Anybody see anymore?

I've only seen them at WalMart, but then again I haven't been actively searching for them. I just happened to see them the other day, thought to myself "hey, that's pretty cool", and then walked away.

I saw the Abyss with one at walmart. Also, it said it was Anamorphic, but I am assuming that is incorrect, else someone would have started a thread about it.

Are we talking hologram or lenticular? If they're lenticular, it's already mentioned in other threads.

Holograms... you see two or more different images when you tilt or move the cover around.

Wal-Mart is where I saw these... I didn't see Wrong Turn, otherwise I think I would've bought it.

Lenticular covers do the same thing. A hologram would be something along the lines of the Pirates of the Caribbean 2 DVD cover. Really shiny and almost ghost-like. Lenticular can give several images (like the recent Superman: Doomsday release). MGM (Fox) has re-released several titles with new lenticular slipcovers. Really, really good lenticular covers. The images move with near-perfection. Robocop, Terminator, Pumpkinhead, Carrie, The Howling, etc.

I think I know which ones you're talking about. I saw them at Wal-Mart this morning. If so, they were definately lenticular.

same as always, around 9.99$, I think it's such a money game to do this though, repackaging old titles only to get money out of 'em...

I was at Walmart this weekend and they have a whole section of lenticular DVD's, what sucks is that these are all the bare bones single disc versions, and they were all priced around $9.99. I want a couple of the slipcovers so i will just buy the dvd's and return them without the slipcovers and use the new lenticular slipcover on the disc I already own.
