Really? Anchor Bay released the TV version as a stand alone DVD? Wow, i thought it was only on the 2 disc lenticular i used to own. Just got my Divimax 25th 2 disc Halloween copy and repurchased "Susperia" after i sold my 3 disc version that had the Goblin soundtrack as a bonus disc....when will i learn to STOP selling this stuff that i just end up re-buying????

Question for the team, i just got the Russian vampire flick "Night Watch" which i've heard nothing but great things about (unlike the Statham dvd) and it came with the sc (which i see is already on the master list..on top of things as always, Vale). Now, does the sequel "Day Watch" which Best Buy has as an Unrated version come with a slipcover as well?

Oh, and for slipcover list additions. i got the 40th Anniversary of "Night of the Living Dead" and it has a nice foil slip cover. Also has the last interview with Duane Jones. I think you could start a seperate list for all the different releases for NOTLD. 10 more years til the 50th anniv..think they'll have a special release? Oh, i also got all 3 lenticular versions of the Indiana Jones discs at Walmart..pretty nice. They also started re-releasing the James Bond titles with lenticular DVD cases (NOT slipcovers)...so i guess it's not list worthy but the cases are the black covers from the 4 volume sets done up all lenticular-ly.

Here's the new Night of the Living Dead sc for the list....

Halloween TV cut

I guess it's out of print now, but I got mine at Best Buy and they had an exclusive where you got an original film-cell if you bought it. Mine is Michael attacking Laurie in the closet. Totally awesome. I'm sure you can find it on Ebay for cheap, or a used store if you're really into owning the extended cut (it's not really that great unless you're a purist like I am...)

Day Watch does not come with a slipcover. Which bums me out cause I really liked the Night Watch one. Now they don't match on my shelf.

Another note, does anyone remember the movie "Time Machine" with "LA Confidential" and "Memento" star Guy Pearce updating the HG Wells classic? Anyway, dude on ebay is selling a Region 1 DVD from Canada saying it includes a slipcover.

I like this movie, not an uber-fan, but i think i would remember an sc. Anyone recall seeing a slipcover for "Time Machine"? Just want to make sure before i bid....
I'll definitely add Spy Kids 2 in the next update. I have no idea why it's not on the list in the first place! Must have slipped by.

As for the Time Machine - No, it did not come with a slipcover. I picked it up on release day at Best Buy because of the bonus disc they included.

Maybe Canada is a different story tho.

Sorry I haven't been around for the past month. I was doing some work in New Jersey for most of May before taking a Memorial WEEK off from the world after that. I'm back in action and my world has returned to normal. Thanks to everyone who kept the updates coming especially SnapOnTool who went above and beyond this month.

Couples things, some actually slip cover releated...

OK, RedNowGreen beat me to one punch...Walmart (and again, they must hold the record for "exclusive" slipcovers) has re-released all the Dreamworks titles with special "Dreamworks Animation" slipcovers. These are not special combo discs or Father's Day releases (I did see those), just new packaging for all the animated titles. First i thought it was the usual attempt to dump all the "Fool Screen" (to use a Vale-ism) titles, but i saw "El Dorado" with a widescreen sc. Here's a pic, all the titles have the same banner logo / look and feel. I personally saw "Over the Hedge", "Shrek 2", "El Dorado", "Sinbad" and "Prince of Egypt"

Now, speaking of Walmart, somehow, they had the new 2 disc "Dirty Harry" release "pre-Tuesday". It comes with a clear slip cover sporting a "bullet hole" effect in the lower right hand corner (kind of like the old "Fargo" frosted clear cover or the Artisan "King of New York" clear cover). Not sure if the other individual Dirty Harry titles will get slipcovers since they are not 2 disc. Personally i plan on getting the box set since you get a bonus 7th disc plus a real neat-o, pretend Dirty Harry wallet and badge so i can fool all my friends.

And keeping in the "Walmart butt kissing vein", don't forget with "Semi-Pro" tomorrow, Walmart has a little basketball and back board set for all us cubicle power forwards....

Lastly, was it PrideStick who needs the lenticular "Night at the Museum", because Walmart had several of those and i'd be happy to grab one if it's still desired. Let me know...

For now, always remember,
I am aware of your countermeasure. You know and I know it doesn't stand a chance. Hummel from Alcatraz, OUT!

.
Got the "Time Machine" Canadian copy in the mail the other day. Does indeed have a bi-lingual slipcover. Personally i hate the French counter titles, but it does look cool. Here's a pic. Forgot if you have a special "Canadian" section for the master list, but it definately exists....

For now, always remember,
It was me! I would greatly appreciate, I'll PM you. And I saw about the semi-pro basketball set, nice idea. I assume it will be with just the one disc as usual? I can't afford either version (no cash flow right now), but it sounds like a nice set. But even if I was buying Semi-Pro, I'd be using that $3 coupon and getting it at CC for $10.99. Those dreamworks slipcovers though are surprising, but then again I don't get out to Wal-Mart much.

I saw some Clint Eastwood DVDs at a HVM in Canada that had a clear slipcover with "shattered glass" effect positioned at the tip of the gun..
Later

Went to Wal-Mart today and took a look around the dvd section, despite me not being able to buy anything. A couple of new slipcovers to report:

Meerkat Manor: The Story Begins
http://www.amazon.com/Meerkat-Manor-Begins-Whoopi-Goldberg/dp/B0017LGQHM/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1212873055&sr=8-1

The Red Violin - Meridian Collection (Remastered)
http://www.amazon.com/Red-Violin-Meridian-Collection-Remastered/dp/B00166UFTS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1212873296&sr=1-2

There are amazon links to reference what I am talking about. Both had slipcovers there, along with both the 1 and 2 disc versions of Semi-Pro as well.

Anyone know where I could get the other 3 Sin City slipcovers? I have the one with Hartigan and Nancy on it, but I'd like to collect them all, but don't want to buy three other movies i already have.

Buy the copy w/ the slipcover and return it to the store without. They don't consider the slipcover part of the merchandise (UPC is just on the wrapped DVD) as evidenced by the fact that most of them are battered and ripped up on the shelves of the stores. The average person tosses them out anyway so it's not really a big deal, IMHO.

A couple of additions that I don't see in the list from Dragon Dynasty.

Killzone
Flashpoint
Legend of the Black Scorpion

Does anyone have a Killzone slipcover that they're willing to trade for?

Do both version of Spiderwick have slipcovers (Single & Double) or just one?
