^ if you have the .jpg file on your computer, it's easiest to upload it to a website like photobucket.com or imageshack.us

once you upload the file, they'll provide an address link, which you can then post here to show the picture.

- Kim Miyori [Lady Tanaka] (0:21)
- Jeroen Krabbe [Gianni Franco] (0:41)
- Mark Goldblatt [Director] (0:10)

DISC TWO
* The Film - "Workprint Version" (96:41 mins). Workprint is in poor quality.
- 0:00 Frank Castle and Jake Berkowitz are on a stake out with Sam Leary under cover as a prostitute (Moretti Bust). It continues to shows Frank Castle's family and the friendship between him and Jake. Frank gets a phone call from the police station that Gianni Franco is leaving the country and the pair head off to the airport to serve him a warrant, afterwards the pair returns to Castle's home to see his family being blown up in the car (16:04).
- 38:50 Locating the Punisher, Sam Leary brings up the sewer system on her computer (0:12).
- 75:47 After the Punisher is kidnapped from the police van, Jake Berkowitz visits Sam Leary in hospital. It ends with Jack returning to his car and a gun is pointed at the back of his head from the back seat of his car (1:57).
- 92:36 Alternate Ending: Gianni Franco dies from a knife wound, instead of a gun shot (3:55).
Through out the movie we see extended scenes and alternate dialogue being used, and only the major differences have been highlighted above. The workprint also shows 4 scenes in a different order from the theatrical version.
Picture format:
4:3 Non-Anamorphic PAL
Soundtrack(s):
English Dolby Digital 2.0 StereoSubtitles:NoAspect Ratio:Multi Aspect RatioPicture Format:TV System:PALCase type:2-Disc Amaray (Keep) CaseNotes:Available in 3 different covers, cover A and B are limited to 500 copies and includes a special case. This movie was heavily cut in Germany and the restored 5 minutes of footage to the unrated version appears in good to poor quality through out the film, and is taken from more then one source. This is an NTSC source master that has been converted to PAL.

so there is a version like this, but some differences abound and this one is R2.

The metalpak was made by another company. No comparison in my opinion. It is a two piece construction, The SteelBook is a one piece. when you open the metalpak, it stops at about 155 degrees. The STeelbook opens like a regular DVD case and lies flat. If you make the metalpak lie flat it damages the hinge which can cause some metal edging to appear. Made in China. SteelBook made in Europe and USA. SInple really.

Is the Die Hard SteelBook the single-disc edition or the 2-Disc CE?

Imail724 08-22-07 08:08 PM

2-Disc.

Scott,

Do you want to update the first post? If people come here looking for a "definitive list", they should see more than two titles. :)

For Canadians, the next steelbook exclusive from Future Shop will be the PE Jungle Book.

johnsun 09-05-07 08:30 AM

Futureshop.ca has also solicited an exclusive Steelcase for Fantasic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer version:

Edit:

After someone mentioning Grindhouse: Death Proof was on the FutureShop website, I found these other listings

Shrek the Third

Transformers Autobot and Decepticon steel book case!

It's going to be very expensive months for us steel book collectors.

Futureshop now was a steelbook listing for Spider Man 3 for $35.99 (ouch)..

It's listed as bilingual, so probably will have English/French packaging..

Sorry, Futureshop.ca doesn't ship outside of Canada.

JZ1276 09-09-07 10:36 PM

why are some of these so rare? I'm looking for I, Robot, Cast Away, The Day Afetr Tomorrow, and Hannibal. Werent these just released a few months ago? Are they already OOP ? I cant find I Robot anywhere.

Imail724 09-10-07 01:32 PM

I don't remember there ever being an I, Robot steelbook. The other three shouldn't be too hard to find, I have Hannibal.

JZ1276 09-11-07 03:23 AM

i'm pretty sure i've seen I Robot steelbook edition somewhere. I think Cast Away and Hannibal are already OOP

coltonford 09-11-07 08:31 AM

I Robot steelbook is only available on R2, Germany and UK Definitive Edition.
