Have you not check walmart.com? I think they still sell it (full screen)

I can take a shot at this one. I have all four of the store exclusives as well (ie not Gothika or Ghost Ship), and I can almost gurantee Batman Begins is the rarest out of the four. It's rare because it is the 2 disc LE that went OOP after a few days because of conflict over the comic that was included with the set. That Batman 2 disc LE was rare enough as it was going OOP after a few days, but to have the Best Buy lenticular cover, that's just an added bonus!

I have V for Vendetta and Corpse Bride lenticular dvds unopened, but my Harry Potter and Batman Begins I opened. I wish I would have kept them all sealed like Xage!

Thanks Mr Staypuft for the info on Batman Lenticular being the most valuable.

How I wish I have one on my end.

Define "valuable"? I can't really can't see people paying a lot of money just for a cover. That seems a little eccentric. Now don't get me wrong, the covers are cool and everything, but I just wouldn't pay more then regular price for one. I have the Batman one and a few others and have only looked at them while taking it to the register. Is there really a "market" for this kind of stuff?

Eric D. , I bought mine the regular price. But if you are asking for the "market" of such stuff try browsing at Amazon.com or Ebay.com

It takes more than just a Lenticular cover to make a DVD valuable ...a lot more.

Try readin Mrstaypuft's post. And try analyzing those people who are shelling out huge dough to get their hands on with this DVDs.

I just checked amazon and saw the price for the Batman Lenticular (the one in the bottom) :

Well, to be fair, you can list a DVD at any price you want on Amazon marketplace, that doesn't mean someone is going to buy it at that price. Also, there's a "like new" lenticular going for $52 further up that page, with a new one going for $55.

Still, the lenticulars are considered valuable, and moreso the rarer they are.

Just take a peek at eBay. You're not going to be able to find any of those (Batman, Corpse, HP) for anything near 'regular price'.

You may not be able to imagine people paying a lot for a cover, but they do.

Personally, since all 3 of those titles are confirmed as upcoming HD-DVD releases, I think it's nuts to pay a lot just for a cover. Put that extra cash towards a HD-DVD player. Unless, you're someone who specifically collects a variety of DVD releases for the packaging rather than the film.

Jay G. , Actually you are unfair. It seems that whenever that there are some sort of post Eric D. made here you are sharing your thoughts and defending him on his behalf. Are the two of you boyfriends? or just a single person?

To the rest, try searching most of Jay G.'s posts and look how he is on defense and answers any Eric D.'s posts and questions.

Well, I myself did a search of Eric D's posts, and out of his most recent 150 posts, only recognized 4 threads that I even participated in. Of those, this is the only thread where I replied to or "defended" post by Eric, even though I mention at the end of my post that "lenticulars are considered valuable, and moreso the rarer they are."

My post was more a nitpick of your methodology, and not a "defense" of Eric's post. Citing the highest marketplace price for the Batman Begins lenticular is a bit misleading. For example, I've found a seller on Amazon selling the 2-disc Harry Potter for $125 when you can get the exact same DVD for $20 from Amazon directly:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listi...&condition=new

So Amazon marketplace listings are only good at showing the highest price someone is willing to sell, not what the highest price one is willing to buy at.

Still, most of the time Amazon listings adjust to the price that the items will sell at, which is why I quoted the $52 and $55 listings as more reasonable examples of what the Batman Begins lenticular cover DVD would probably sell for.

What the hell are you blathering about? Provide some links before you write such garbage. Oh and I like the "boyfriends" touch. Shows what kind of person you are.

Try reading my post. I know it's rare, but I want to know how much because I would like to sell mine. Oh and Amazon doesn't count. I could put a regular X Men DVD up for $1,999 but it doesn't mean that it's worth that. I have no idea who you are and why you take such offense to my posts and accuse, attack and make rude comments about me. Who are you again??????? I don't ever remember encountering you on these boards before. And so what if Jay has come to my "defense" in the past. I truly don't remember any such instance, but if he did...so what?

Edit: And to everyone else who replied to my question. Thank you for replying with sophisticated answers. That's all I wanted to know.

My favorite Lenticular cover is Batman Begins. It's just perfect, I don't own it and I could have (saw one at a Gamestop for $9.99 with the comic book, but it was really in piss poor condition, the lenticular cover was almost torn off) but I am happy with the non-lenticular 2 disc I have, though if I ever fine one in better shape at the same price, I may consider doing something stupid and rebuying it for the comic book and that cool Lenticular cover. Most lenticular covers are pretty cool any how.

Funny it wasn't mentioned in the ads, but for all of you interested in Poseidon, CC has a lenticular cover for the 2 disc version. I can confirm this, and will take pics if requested.

At first I went to Best Buy to get some other dvds, and I ended up buying the normal 2 disc Poseidon with the normal slipcover there. I then go to CC for the Silent Hill exclusive comic, and notice the Poseidon 2 disc has a lenticular cover. I bought that as well, so now I'm off to BB to return my other copy of Poseidon.

So far the 2 disc WB lenticular covers:
1)Batman Begins - Best Buy
2)Corpse Bride - Walmart
3)Harry Potter & GoF - Target
4)V for Vendetta - Target
5)Poseidon - Circuit City

What? I bought mine at Best Buy and I got the lenticular cover. None of them even had a regular slipcover. It's not an exclusive...all the Poseidons have it.

Well, I have my Best Buy copy of the 2 disc edition right in hand, and it doesn't have a lenticular slipcover. Just a normal, cardboard one.

Anybody else get the lenticular at Best Buy?

Earlier on in this thread, someone said they got a review copy of Poseidon and it had the lenticular cover. My BB had TONS of the lenticular cover, so I guarantee you it's not a CC exclusive....unless some BB employees hijacked a CC truck...

The one I bought at Bestbuy carries a Lenticular Package.

Looks like the Bestbuy you got there is selling advanced copy of the 2nd press slipcases
