Yup, I'm glad I held off and never purchased The Matrix until now. Noticed it was now in a keepcase when I saw it this weekend, and finally snagged it. Except, I had no idea until reading earlier in this thread that it was only just re-issued in a keepcase last month--I figured this would have been one of Warner's very first conversions...I mean, with that whole 'most popular titles first' thing?... It's, uhh...The MATRIX, for God's sake? Lol.

Also, does anyone know if Warner's Kubrick collection has been converted to keepcases, or if there are plans to do so? Full Metal Jacket was mentioned above, so I was wondering if Warner had followed suit with the others?

None of them have been re-released. The only one I've heard about is Full Metal Jacket might be going to a 2-disk set.

Finally found Caddyshack in a keepcase at Circuit City for $6.99. It doesn't say 20th Anniversary on the cover, but it is the same, features and all.

Also found Gremlins and it is the Special Edition version.

Nope. The keepcase edition of The Matrix is exactly the same disc as the old snapper release. No remastering.

It does here in Canada, but you'll end up having a bilingual casing.

Just found the 2-disc BOOGIE NIGHTS in a keepcase at Circuit City for $7.99. It's the same as the 2-disc digi-pak. Haven't seen the 1-disc change.

I can confirm that the 1997 version of Batman Returns is re-released in a keep case as well. I saw it at Walmart next to the keep case re-release of Batman.

Has anybody seen this anyplace besides CC? I don't like giving them any business (especially since the Speedy affair), and it's way out of my way besides. Do BestBuy or Wally World have it?

I say I got lucky when I found Boogie Nights at CC. Went to 2 different BB, Targets, Walmarts and another CC, but haven't seen it anywhere else.

You can get all those movies in alternate packaging, but the only two that have been re-released using the original snapper artwork are BATMAN and Batman Returns. The others are all SE releases with different artwork (although very close in the case of the Batman movies).
