Thanks for the info. I had a feeling when I opened it that one was missing.

It's possible they just stopped including them - some studios have - not usually a great loss because most inserts have little use, but in this case it was a worthwhile one.

Anybody out there who can help with these three?

I just bought Batman Begins - no insert. Just some promotional stuff.

I know Mindhunters does in fact come with a chapter insert.

Not sure if it fits with this thread, but is Shaolin Soccer supposed to have a slipcover?

A very long engagement doesn't come with an insert.

I don't know if this has been mentioned (didn't find it in search), but MGM's 2004 re-release of the Terminator has no insert; the 2001 SE had a booklet with production notes. Also, whereas the Region 1 MGM Thief has an 8-page booklet, the UK region 2 MGM disc has nothing.

Unleashed Unrated Edition comes w/ insert.

Shadow I don't know if you are asking about both slipcovers and Inserts, but I can let you know on which ones I have or know of on both:

Chrinicles of Riddick Unrated-has Slicpover and insert of ads for Pitch Black Unrated and some other movies

Pitch Black Unrated - it's lent out right now so I can't recall any inserts, but it does have a slipcover

House of 1000 Corpses - I don't know if there is two versions of the disc casing, but I have a cardboard one and it came with an ad and a Rob Zombie CD ad

Resident Evil Deluxe Edition: Just an ad for other movies and a movie ticket for Apocalypse

Resident Evil: Apoalypse - slipcover and an ad for RE4 game and other flicks

Constanitne 2 disc Deluxe edition: Has cardboard box holder and comic book only

Hulk - Just an ad for a Hulk credit card

Team America Unrated: No Slipcover, no Insert

Van Helsing -didn't get the 3 disc edition, but I doubt they offered much more with it, I have an ad with my single disc, but came with slipcover.

And as Abintra said no, Monsters Inc didn't come with a Slipcover. I'm pretty sure they only started with Finding Nemo on that.

As for the rest I really can't help you, but I'm sure the majority of them came without any inserts to begin with since they are mostly newer releases and most companies aren't doing them anymore.

Should The Best of Abbott & Costello, Volume 4, come with an insert or booklet (there is an empty pouch for one)?

For that matter, do any of the prior 3 Best of Abbott & Costello volumes have inserts or booklets?

Finally, when a person searches DVD Talk for something like "Best Abbott insert" and gets this 20 page thread to show up, is there any way in the search tool to figure out which page the search hit occurs without going through every page?

Can anyone tell me if Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005 movie) is supposed to have a chapter insert or booklet? It's Touchstone by the way, and I have no other recent titles of theirs to compare to. Thank You.

Hitchhiker's Guide has an insert with chapters and upcoming dvd titles.
