Chariots of Fire

I know this title is OOP and possible going to be rereleased in 2005. Is there a version from another country that is all regions that is good? I saw the UK had a widescreen anamorphic version but it says for region 2. I don't think my player will play anything but region 1.

Thanks,
Gracee

I don't think so. I'm waiting for the rerelease myself. Beautiful film.

I've never seen this film..always wanted to. I will definitely check it out when it's re-released in OAR.

I guess you could look for an Asian import or look for a bootleg copy. But I suggest waiting for the special edition next year.

I've noticed that, although IMDB (which is becoming less and less reliable these days) doesn't mention it, The US and UK versions are slightly different. The LD-to-VHS copy I had in Europe had a different beginning (the meeting between Abrahams and Montague is shorter) than the p&S DVD I got in the US in 1999...
