The return of the list!

I have compiled a list of TEEN THEMED FILMS released between 1980-1989.

I am asking those who care about this genre, or at least some of the films in them, to express which titles they would like on dvd.
Also please suggest any titles I may have missed. Only 80's teen themed films only, please!


The list is broken into different categories.
They are:

1. Titles that are/were released on dvd in region 1.
2. Titles that are coming soon to dvd (that have been officially announced)
3. Titles that are in the works for a release.
4. Titles that are not on dvd.
5. My top 10 teen films that should be on dvd list.

I limited the list to 80's teen-themed films. Mostly comedies some dramas/actioners. I have a separate list for the horror genre.

While yes - Cool as Ice was physicaly released in 1991, it embodied the spirit of the 1980's. I'll have to petition that it be added on grounds that the 80's is an attitude, and not an actual span of time.

ever see out of control?
Its a kind of a bizarre little movie which I like. Released from new world pictures in the mid 80s. She plays a spoiled bitch who spends most of the movie in a neglige and does a fine job of it!

Yes, I saw it once on cable years ago (I was keeping an eye out for it because I knew Betsy was in it ). Never managed to get the VHS of it, and unfortunately I see that it is on your unreleased DVD list. Damn.

Can we consider Howard the Duck to be part of this genre? I think if you're going to include some of the other films listed here, this belongs in the bunch.

True, but there were a few gems (IMO) that came from that period, most notably Pump up the Volume and Airborne, and both definitely have an 80's feel to them.
