National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation 2

I just read this over at thedigitalbits

Warner Bros. has revealed that it will release National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation 2 on 10/5 (SRP $19.97).
And I would just like to know who in the world would buy this? This first xmas vacation is one of my favorite movies, and is always watched by me and my family every thanksgiving and christmas eve. But last year when this was on TV we all got together sat down and watched. I actually started to cry it was soooooooo bad. I would like to forget that this movie was ever made, why would Warner Brother bother to release so a bad seed?

Agreed. It's too bad it was so bad, too, because it had a decent cast...but a Vacation movie without Chevy Chase? C'mon...

It was a horrid movie.

Eddie and his wife (the actors)...let themselves go SO badly..

It was sad.

How about National Lampoon's Last Resort? I just sold this for $3 at a disc-go-round ($1 more than I paid for it) after an unbearable first 20 minutes. Eugh. I need to take a shower just thinking about it again.

Anyone know whether Chevy Chase is coming back for any more Vacation movies? I heard a rumor he was going to do Vacation Down Under!!??

I'll probably give this one a rent though

Why? You can buy a 24 roll pack of toilet paper for about 5 bucks, that's pretty much what this crap is worth

This movie reminds me a lot of The Brady Bunch in the White House which I recently suffered through also. It was a pitiful attempt to cash in on a successful franchise with an unfunny watered-down made-for-TV movie sequel using only remnants of the original cast (who must have been desperate for some quick cash or else were heavily indebted to some producer or network exec). I love the first 4 Vacation movies (especially the original and X-Mas), but this was just plain pathethic. The script must have been tossed off in less than an hour at most. Why anyone would want to own this is beyond me. I understand the sickness...I have been in Completists Anonymous for about a year now after breaking down and buying both Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers and Jason Goes to Hell on the same day. But help is out there, my friend.

That does my heart good.

I was an extra in National Lampoon presents Dorm Daze, out Aug. 10.

Buy the R-Rated and the Unrated versions. Multiple copies. Hand them out at church, like The Passion.

You can preorder it right now from Amazon. Just follow the link at the screenwriters' website, www.AmazingSchlock.com.

CDE,

CS

Yeah, unfortunately they did. I believe it starred the guy who was the dumb brother of Chevy Chases character, you know, the one that lived in the trailer and was poor? Anyways, it was a direct to TV movie and just by the commercials alone, the movie wreaked of failure. I advise all of you to stay FAR far away from this.

No reason you should. 'Twas straight to TV.

Randy "I'm just an actor who can't say no" Quaid.

I think it's great that National Lampoon didn't put it's name on 'Vegas Vacation' (which is surprisingly funny, though pretty dumb), but did put their name on this.

Yep it's official. I'm the only person in the world that likes Caddyshack 2. I hated Blues Brothers 2000 and I didn't even think about watching Christmas Vacation 2, but Caddyshack 2 was the 2nd DVD I ever bought. Everyone has those movies that nobody else seems to like, but you love. For me it would be Caddyshack 2 and The Cat in the Hat.
