Black Rain ('89) SE ??
Hey guys,
I remember hearing awhile back there may be a SE in the works. Does anyone know anything? They really need to fix the audio on the current release.

Well on my copy and I remember reading that others had the same problem with the 5.1 surround sound not kicking in till halfway into the end of the movie.

Welcome to Paramounts "remixes" of Dolby Surround tracks. Always use the regular Dolby Surround option. It always sounds better unless they've specifically gone back and remixed the film (Jack Ryan movies).
In fact, I tested this with Black Rain and others just this past weekend.

Scott is VERY keen on doing SE's for his films and it's very possible that we'll get something on this.
I don't know what you want "fixed" though. AFAIK this movie was released with regular Dolby Surround and the remixed 5.1 track isn't the original sound mix. Original almost always prevails.
