Help ID DVD by cover description

I want to buy this DVD, but I can't remember the title, nor the actors nor even much of the plot. Once upon a time I looked it up and mentally filed it away as possibly a good buy if I found it at a good price. With the DDD sale, I'm hoping the price is good, but I can't look it up since I don't remember the title.

Here's what I do know:

The cover has a kind of reddish black background, kind of like a dark red satin or wine color. There is a very ornate picture frame as the primary element of the cover, sitting at an angle. It might be a mirror rather than a picture frame since I can't recall what, if any, picture is in the frame.

I think the movie is from the 70s, but the DVD was released in the last couple of years.

I think the DVD *might* be by Paramount (this could be a red herring, I've been looking at a lot of paramount DVD covers and didn't see it).

I also think one of the characters may be a dwarf. Maybe.

Ring any bells? It is driving me nuts. Thanks

Are you maybe thinking about the original Moulin Rouge , no frame at an angle but the outer edge of the box is made up like a frame...

Nope, the picture frame is definitely of a "real" object in the picture and is very baroque.

MahatmaPetey is right - the movie is Roeg's "Don't Look Now" and the DVD is put out by Paramount. Great flick.

I think I can see the dwarf...in the window above Julie Christie's head...possibly wearing a yellow raincoat.....

Julie Christie I think I may have to get the DVD just for her. I rented it from Netflix and forgot how stunning she was in this flick. Can a player laser on pause eventually burn a hole through the disc?
