Casino & Blues Brothers DVDs OOP?

I bought Casino a couple of months ago at the regular price at Amazon since I could not find it at circuit city or deepdiscountdvd.com

I assume it will be OOP soon.

I know the Blues Brothers is out of print but I don't understand why since I thought it came out last year.

Sometimes things just go out of print. Often enough they come back in SE versions and what not. Is Casino a flipper? if so thank goodness it's OOP. perhaps now they will release a good version of it.

Casino isn't a flipper, it's a dual-layer anamorphic disc.

Do a SEARCH next time : http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...ghlight=Casino

Although the Casino release is barebones, the A/V is pretty good (anamorphic WS, nonflipper, DD 5.1 sound). There are some copies on eBay.

Ive always thought the picture quality looked crappy. Maybe thats the way it was intended to look (grainy). I'd maybe double dip for this one if a better quality version was released.

The Blue Brothers was first released in 1998. The release date from last year that you are seeing, is the date of the price reduction. But since it's OOP, you can count on another version being released.

DVDaf claims it's out of print. It's a great disc I don't know if they'll be doing a new version, possibly just a re-packaging.
