Terminator 2: Ultimate Vs Extreme Version
Hey guys,
For those who own both versions. I understand from several reviews that the Extreme version has a little better picture quality.
HOW ABOUT THE AUDIO PART?
How does the DTS version in the Ultimate version fair against the Dolby EX in the Extreme...is difference subtle or does the DTS beat the pants of the Dolby EX?
I have the Extreme but found a used copy of the Ultimate for $11.00. Will double dip if there is a major diff. in audio quality.
Thanks

I'd get the UE not only for the DTS track but the TONS of extras and having all 3 versions of the movie.

But the thread starter mentioned that the EE was visually better but was curious about the audio aspects... even though some of us threw a few extras carrots in there with respect to reasons for getting the UE.

DTS for the new mix would have been nice, but you won't regret picking up the Extreme Edition.

i didn't notice much of difference in Dolby EX of both editions...
but yes, the picture is much improved in Extreme Edition...
if you have to pick one, i'd go with the Ultimate Edition due to it's great DTS-ES & extras (freakin' awesome)....
if you really concern on the picture quality, might as well, pick both

Since it has been mentioned that the new mix is great on the EE I would ask myself, am I going to watch all the extras? And even then, it will probably only be once. I have the UE and watched a minimal amount of extras. I picked up the EE on release day because it was cheap. I would much rather have the better picture since I am going to watch the movie more than the extras.
Kinda moot though, since I own both.
