One more quick comment and then I'm out of this conversation.
The thing that makes many Americans who don't like Moore, don't like him, is that he, just as is George Soros, is trying to change America in their image by literally buying the change instead of it having it being voted on. Billionare George Soros is supposedly pumping $75 Million of his own money to unseat Bush. Soros is an atheist who uses his enormous wealth to manipulate world currency rates and of course to force his secular views on the target country. Basically if he would wear a military uniform, he'd be a good match for a socialist dictator, eg. Saddam Hussein, Adolf Hilter, Joseph Stalin.
Now with Moore, he is using his film making "talent" to push his political viewpoint in an effort to affect elections. Perhaps not as radical as Soros, but somewhat similar. So the question is, if he doesn't like the country he lives in (the US), then why doesn't he just move to a country that he does like, and then leave us the hell alone. He could move to Paris, make all the anti-American films he wants, but it wouldn't matter because we could just chalk him up as another anti-American Parisian.
Oh, one last note about what was said above about their being a double standard when it comes to liberal or conservative propaganda in films. While it seems that almost any liberal propaganda is accepted and even at times, celebrated, most if not all conservative jingoism is shunned by everybody. eg. The "we will not go down without a fight" speech in ID4, and perhaps the whole movie of Behind Enemy Lines. Yet, the movie, The Day After Tomorrow which tends to be a mouthpiece for global warming alarmist environmental groups (made by the same director as ID4) is being applauded as "something that we need to look at".

Did Moore do commentary on BfC? I'm too lazy to look it up, but if he did, I kinda want to watch it, since it's kind of like commentary on commentary, y'know? Just thinking out loud here. I certainly hope Fahrenheit 9/11 has commentary, and really can't believe the turn-around. At least Moore's gettin it out fast so I don't have to force myself to spend the $8 at the theater =P.

Don't mistake Moore's dislike of the Bush administration for being anti-American. Surely you're smarter than that. Or do you really believe that only Conservatives love their country?

There are SOOO many threads on Fahrenheit 9/11. Let's hold off on any threads about the DVD until it's actually announced and direct these threads/posts to either the movie talk forum for discussions over the movie or other if you just want to talk about the poilitics of the film.
