As much as I like the movies, I'm thinking of waiting until the unified recut is released. I heard Quentin is working on that.

The reason is the recut may bring some needed balance to the movies. I feel that the first one was cut to emphasize the action so people will go see the 2nd one. That one is a bit heavy on the background story. A recut may smooth the flow since there's no pressure for the first half to hook you into the second half.
Actually, that's exactly how the movie was scripted.

I've said it before, there are some very nice custom covers out there, and this one is a prime candidate for it.

What the??? I have no problem with the repositioning of the film title and QT credits to match the layout of the Vol 1 cover, but changing the background from black to red is a truly mindboggling decision. I can honestly say that it almost hurts my eyes to look at that cover. Can I get a job at Miramax's art department, because I can confidently say that I am more artistically talented than at least one guy who works there.

Red or Black doesn't really matter a whole lot, although i'm partial to black. Still better then the old one.

McDonald colors! oh my...I was gonna get this, but now I might just wait for the box!
Why couldn't they use the black one!!!! Because some stupid hollywood something said that this would get the customers attention more! Yes it will, but it will be attention away from this awful cover!!!!

I was hoping they'd make the cover even more hideous. Oh well, I guess I'll have to settle for this monstrosity.

You're going to hold off on a DVD you'd normally get because of the cover art? I hope you're not serious.

Unfortunately, Disney has just started cracking down on web sites that offer custom covers of any of its titles (Miramax is owned by Disney, of course). They made dvdcoverart.com remove a few thousand covers last week.

We've added a couple of menu shots for Volume 2 here if you're interested...

The menus look pretty nice. One thing that really impressed me about the Vol 1 disc was the menu system, so I'm hoping for equally nice ones for Vol 2.

Why the hell doesn't Buena Vista include the original trailers on their films anymore?

Oh man.... were those some great menus?!?! I loved the anime combined with the whistle. These menus look... nice... but I doubt they'll be a good as Vol 1

Cool menus. Don't know if they'll top the R1 disc though. Hell even the R2 disc was pretty badass (though full of spoilers).

Maybe there's more "special features", and the menus just aren't finished yet? Vol 1 had the teaser and "bootleg" trailer (but not the other trailer unfortunately, but that was on the soundtrack CD, as well as the Vol 2 teaser). The full trailer for Vol 2 is cool and I really hope they didn't leave it off the upcoming DVD.

It was a fight scene between Bill and an assassin named Da Moe (played by Michael Jai White). People who were looking forward to that scene (including myself) were REALLY mad when it was cut out of the final film.

Can't wait to check that out. I'm surprised they didn't save it for the SE.
