Cannibal Holocaust (customs problems?)
I am going to Paris in a week and a half and I am planning on possibly picking up this movie. Will there be problems bringing it back to the US (foreign/US customs)?
thanks!

Some countries might have a problem with this film, due to the animal cruelty footage, but I don't believe it would be an issue in the US. I very seriously doubt that you would have a problem with US customs, the DVD wouldn't even raise an eyebrow.

I hope so, because I don't want to spend 30+ bucks on this DVD and have it taken when I get back in the states.
anyone else have experiences like this? or some more insight?

I can give you a bit more insight based on personal experience:
I've gone back and forth through customs travelling between US, Canada, and sometimes Japan on many occasions, and have usually brought DVDs (or in the "old days", VHS) back with me. I guess it depends on how suspicious someone looks, and maybe a bit of luck, but I have never, ever had any customs agent be even remotely interested in any movies I might have.
If you're very worried, you could always take the DVD and put it in a CD carrying case with some CDs (if you are bringing some on the trip) and stick the cover art and insert in a book (tossing the replaceable keepcase). I've done this sometimes if I bought a lot of DVDs and am trying to save room in my suitcase, but it also makes them less conspicous.

Thanks for the help! I probably will pick up the DVD when I get there, and test my luck with it.
