Yeah, I heard it was suppose to be released a month after the clean version first hit stores, but we know how that turned out.

I definitely see it being released once the sequel hits DVD.

Last I heard was that the uncut footage was gonna be used in the sequel in some way.

Dunno how that's gonna happen. I've also heard quite disparate running times for the uncut version, ranging from some 10 seconds to some 20 minutes longer. Anybody have any solid news about how much longer the uncut version actually would be?

Not sure how long the uncensored version would be. But Rob basically mentions plenty of cut material in the commentary being cut since the scenes did not work out well, mostly more dialogue, improvised stuff that failed. But he does hint at some more gruesome material that was cut to avoid an NC-17,but does not go into detail, since 'we'll save that for next time' is his remark. Which of course hints at an uncensored version sometime.

My guess is when the sequel hits theaters(I hope),since I am sick of waiting.

I remember taking that remark as the "next time" being his next film. I also think he said on Howard Stern that there wasn't any other cut to be released. It's been awhile, so I could be remembering it all wrong.

I didn't like this movie at all, had some neat parts, but overall just boring. But, I would be interested in seeing that uncut version if one does exist.

Also did anyone read the overall plot of House of 1000 Corpses 2? did it sound a lot like Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. paying tribute again?

At last years Comic-Con, I attended a panel with Rob and the cast. He was asked about the unrated version.

If I remember correctly what I posted in a similar thread, he said he had to choose between working on the sequel or working on an unrated version since he'd have to reedit, rescore and redo sound effects. He chose to do the sequel.

So, once he's done with that (hopefully) he'll want to revisit the first movie. At least, I hope he does! At first viewing, I wasn't too thrilled with the movie but on repeat viewings it has grown on me.

Time will tell and I hope to hear more info soon.
