I liked the movie a lot also. If people aren't going in with a popcorn flick mentality, they obviously had no idea what the movie was in the first place. You can't go into a movie like this expecting some Oscar-calibur performances or script.

Anyways, I will be buying it.

People give this movie so much shit, and it is really a decent movie. I enjoyed it a lot and I DO NOT like Ben Affleck. I am using some FYE store credit and getting it for 19.99 with a ten buck M.I.R. I hope the dvd is good and an insert would be jimf'n dandy.

I may get it, I actually like Ben Affleck. Paramount doesn't usually do re-releases, unless they are needed. Which is why I like them more than most studios.

There's an alt ending on the disc. Not sure you'd like that one anymore tho

I rented it (early) from a local shop and while I was really looking forward to it (john woo!) I was disappointed that there wasn't more action and that it felt like a Minority Report rip. There were some interesting parts/concepts, but they didn't sum to a good movie for me.

Paramount may not do re-releases but there are still reasons to not like them. Being piss cheap for so many interesting catalogue movies being one of them.

As for the movie, this is strange. At Amazon a month or so ago they had 2 listings: a one-disk set and a 2-disk set. Now they only have the widescreen and full-screen versions.

If the movie is really that bad, maybe the sequel will be called Pinkslip.

Considering it is from a Phillip K. Dick (will it get bleeped this time?) story . . . (he wrote the story that was the basis for Minority Report as well as Blade Runner and Imposter).
I'm thinking the positive points for it being a Phillip Dick story and the loss of points for Ben Affleck (John Woo is neutral in my book still) make it a wash. I'm going to sit down and watch it tonight and will reserve any further judgment until then.
