Sweet...but, will Goodfellas be included in the set? I see what it says about "all of the above", but that could just be regarding After Hours, Alice Doesn't Live Here Any More, Mean Streets, and Who's That Knocking At My Door?. If all the movies have a list price of $20, and the box set is $60, that means that you'd be getting two out of the five movies for free. I don't think Warner's would be that generous, though they ARE kicking ass with their DVD presentations.

Good point. Maybe we can assume (and that would be a sweet assume) it would be all the movies until we see a more detailed list of what is in the giftset.

But, if that price does include all 5 movies, it would be a no-brainer in getting the giftset.

this is just fantastic news.

thank you warners: you've got scorsese one of the best and most famously knowledgable and talkative film makers talking about the films he made.

Can't wait to hear his comments on mean streets and goodfellas especially both of which are film classics - really hope he sheds light on his relationship with de niro in these films.

hopefully the transfers will be up to scratch as well. if the goodfellas dvd is as good as it sounds it will be my most watched and loved dvd ever.

MOST definitely. Especially at a warehouse club like Costco's. Final cost should be around $35

1. Warner released an unrated version of True Romance

2. I believe you are thinking of Casino that was trimmed to get an R

I don't think it's safe to assume Goodfellas will be included with the boxset. Here's why:

On April 6, Warner Brothers released Meet Me In St. Louis (Two-Disc Special Edition). They also released The Judy Garland Signature Collection that day, but the prior title was not included in the 7 disc box set even though it's regarded as her finest film following Oz.

Glad I put off buying Goodfellas for about 2 years =P it shall finally pay off! The box set is indeed a no-brainer, but even if it doesn't include GoodFellas I'll get it. Now if only MGM would do a proper release of Raging Bull my Marty-lovin would be satisfied.
