Cky 4?!!!
Is there any way to tell (without removing the packaging) if your copy is totally unedited (with the sex scene and/or with the beastman & skeletor skit)?
I ordered a copy from overstock.com without realizing that there are 3 different versions (one with the bam sex scene and beastman/skeletor skit, one with only the beastman/skeletor skit, and one with neither)...before it came in i was browsing in suncoast and found two different CKY 4's...one stated that it had the beastman/skeletor skit on the packaging and one that did not list it...same upc and everything...so i went ahead and bought the one that had the skit...today i get my overstock order and apparently it's the same that i had bought from suncoast...i watch the whole dvd, easter eggs and all, but no skeletor skit, even though it is listed in the scene selection menu...when i try to select it from the menu, it locks up my player...
the only difference i can see in the unopened disc is that it is in a different type of keepcase than the opened one!?
Now my dilemna is whether i should open the suncoast one and see if it will play the skeletor skit or just go ahead and return it, saving myself $20...i'd hate to lose $20 if it turns out to be the same disc...
Please help!!!

cky is strange. it hink this is the story. 4 ckys were released
people sued over them being int he video without giving permission so they all went out of print.
then they brought it back as a best of.
and then they released edited versions of all ckys
i found and bought all of em used. while i love jackass, i didnt care for this. it was funny, sure, but too much skateboarding and itdidn't do much for me.

I bought my CKY 4 at a store at the mall called Zumiez. Its a skateboard type place. I bought it right when it came out and it was the original version. My friend bought one there a few weeks ago and his was also the original version. So that would be the best place to check. It's kinda expensive though $26.99 but worth it.

OK, i guess i was kind of frantic when i started this thread. Anyway CKY (Bam Margera, Raab Himself, Ryan Dunn, Brandon DiCamillo, etc) came before Jackass, and these guys all went on to star in Jackass. CKY is short for Camp Kill Yourself.
They've put out four CKY DVD's
CKY
CKY 2K
CKY 3
CKY 4: Latest and Greatest
The first three were re-issued in a 4 disc boxset along with an exclusive Documentary DVD. This was discontinued due to legal threats.
Later, the box set was edited down into a 2 disc Trilogy set which is still in production. That's the easy part.
CKY 4 has been issued at least four times.
1) contains a hidden "sex" skit & a He-Man spoof
2) contains the He-Man spoof, but edits out the sex skit
3) both skits above are removed on this re-issue, although the He-Man spoof is still listed on the tracklisting on the DVD box and in the DVD's Chapter selection screen, it is in fact edited out
4) this re-issue removes both skits and all references to them
The odd thing is (as far as I know), there is no way to tell the difference between the first 3 releases without actually trying access the special features. Physically, the three sets are identical, all the way down to the exact same UPC.
My question was to see if anyone on this board knew some way to tell which version is which without having to remove the packaging from the DVD. I've got two CKY 4 DVD's that have the same exact packaging except that they each have a different kind of keepcase (I think one is an amaray and the other is an Alpha).
I do not care to keep both. One is opened and is the 3rd version. The other is sealed (purchased at Suncoast). I'm trying to figure out which edition the sealed disc is (it's not the 4th) before opening it. I can still take it back to Suncoast if it isn't the version that i want.
Hope this is clear enough. Thanks.

svrasputin, the real question is why do you want to see bam having sex?
, also CKY is not Bam, raab, ryan and brandon, CKY is Jesse's band Bam brother, not of those four are even in the band, they just hang out with all of the band members, and do some stupid funny shit

I have the one with only the He-Man skit (very funny!). And the UPC is white.
I went to a store and saw one with the UPC being yellow. Could this mean anything?

I love CKY... CKY2K is where it's at. Better than any Jackass skit ever.

Not sure if the version I have has the sex skit in it. Haven't seen it in a while. It does have the He-Man skit in it. I know the cover shows them rolling a guy off a roof in a barrel.

I have no idea about the skits. I do have CKY 4 but haven't seen it. I believe when you are watching the DVD, the funny CKY symbot appears a few times and if you press enter at the correct moment, you get to see extra stuff.
I didn't know the original box set was re-done. I think have have the original as I bought it in a 4-disk set. What was edited out?

I think (but am not going to swear to this) that you can tell which one you have by looking at the color of the bar code on the back. If the box containing the barcode is yellow, it is definitely the re-issue. If it is white, it may or may not be the reissue. I have read that only the first 5000 DVD's issued had the secret scenes; they were edited out of all subsequent releases.
