I'll be excited about Wave 4 when I actually have Wave 3. I've been down this road before ;->

I'm out of the loop on this, but do we know FOR SURE that the Wartime toons in the upcoming set are not edited?

You read my mind.

Disney Treasures: Disney's Mea Culpa

What all could go on there, I wonder? Maybe they could include some footage of the drunken indian from Disneyland.

Song of the South saddens me more than anything, though. The animation in it is so beautiful, and yet my love for the film it is tempered by the flagrant racism. I feel like it's something that should be released, but presented within context of the time and info about Joel Chandler Harris. I live near the Wren's Nest, Joel Chandler Harris' house in Georgia which has been turned into a museum. They have storytelling there for children and it's a popular place. It's sad that we can't come to the same reconciliation with the film.

That's exactly how I feel about Jim Carrey.

Although I did enjoy the one with the kitten down the well.

So who thinks all the remaining Mickey B&W cartoons will be there intact?

That would be nice. But so are Mickey B&W and Pluto.

I can't say for sure because this is the first time I've seen these. But the Donald Duck set has unedited shorts, that were edited on Japanese laserdiscs. Usually the Disney laserdiscs in Japan were not edited especially in the early days. Hockey Champ was edited on every release i could find, before the the Disney Treasure.

I just got through watching Mickey Mouse in Color II and it had a lot of the higher profile Pluto cartoons in it which I can't see them leaving out of the Pluto collection.

What are they going to put on the Pluto collection? It seems like there would be a lot of overlap between the two.

Believe or not, on the VHS and laserdiscs versions they edited, Donald hanging in the well. When it looks like he hung himself with a noose.

I was wondering the same thing. Up until Plutopia I thought they were going by the character in the title credits...seemed out of place to have a Pluto title feature in the MM set. I'm hoping they double them up since it does belong on the Pluto set, especially if they want to call it 'complete.' Ditto for the Front Lines shorts since they did double up the Goofy ones. If they did it to fill up the MM2 discs with content I dont have a problem with overlap as long as they put them on Pluto as well. We shall have to wait and see...
