I ordered Fistful of Dynamite and Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia from www.koreandvds.com for $15 each. Shipping should be ~$6.64 for the two. They are very reliable and shipping to me in middle TN from So. Korea usually takes about 10 days. They also have a 2 disc Fistful of Dollars, but it did not look worthwhile to me.

Which is within a minute of what the 154 min cut would be with PAL speedup.

Is the movie very good or does it try too hard to be "funny"?

Leone's movies are funny. But the humour always mixes well with the drama and the action.

Is this film simply a comedy? Or an action comedy?

As others have said, the restored Duck, You Sucker! is done and is making its way to DVD. They probably won't release it on DVD until they finish restoring For A Few Dollars More, because they didn't release The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly on DVD until they finished restoring Duck, You Sucker!

The only thing I didn't understand is that when I saw the restored The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly, the restoration guy did a Q&A, and said he had done a restoration of A Fistful of Dollars that played in theaters months before the restored The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. So I don't know why that one hasn't come out on DVD.

Well, since MGM has already finished the restoration of the first two Dollars films, Duck, You Sucker should be ready to go any day now.

Because the restoration department has no connection to home video department. Decisions in each department are made independently of one another.

That's kinda true, but generally if the home video department finds out that restoration work is being done on a title they'll certainly use the restored version for home video release.

Especially considering that most restorations don't make it back to theatres anymore - they go straight to DVD.

Of course the home video department finds out about what the restoration department is doing, they just don't coordinate their plans as the primary goal of restoration.

At MGM, those films that are actually undergoing restoration are done initially for theatrical and television release, not home video. The home video department's release plans are not coordinated with the projects which the restoration department undertakes. MGM's John Kirk has explained this in interviews when asked about DVD releases of his projects.
