Oooh!

I hope Facts Of Life will come out on dvd. I loved all seasons, from High School, to the University, just watching styles change would be cool.

From early 80s to big hairdo late 80s.

From French bakery to wacko Junk of the 80s....

Whew....

I wonder if Facts Of Life Goes To Paris will ever be release?

From TVShowsOnDVD.com:
We first broke the news back in April that Diff'rent Strokes was coming to DVD on Sept. 14th. Now Video Business magazine has an update for us about this, in an article (free registration required) by Susanne Ault that has an opening sentence that strangely echoes our previous news posts' headline. Well, it's the natural way to bring up the subject of a Diff'rent Strokes DVD, so no surprises here.

Here's the article, which fills us in on the extras this set will contain, plus the expected list price:

JUNE 15 | Whatchoo talking about it's on DVD? It's true - for the first time, long-running sitcom Diff'rent Strokes will be available on DVD September 14 from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment.

Filling three discs, Diff'rent Strokes: The First Season will showcase the adventures of two adopted kids from Harlem, as played by Gary Coleman and Todd Bridges, living with a rich, white family.

The true lives of the cast, including drug-troubled Bridges, were just as interesting as the show's plotlines. And many return for fresh interviews for the DVD, including Bridges, Conrad Bain and Charlotte Rae. Other DVD special features include a featurette on Coleman and audio commentary with show scribe Fred Rubin.

Premiering in 1978, Diff'rent Strokes ran for eight seasons, first on NBC and later on ABC. Pre-orders for the DVD package are due Aug. 12. The set is priced at $29.95.

No word about the popular spin-off, The Facts of Life, just yet. We'll keep an eye out for that, though. In the meantime, we'll be back with more information about Diff'rent Strokes in approximately three weeks, when the studio officially announces this title. Our appreciation goes out to John McFadden and Tim Stiefel, a pair of readers who went out of their way to make sure we knew about this story. Thanks!
I'm tempted to pick this up. The first season's really all I need (seasons 2 and up were a little heavy on the "very special episodes" for my taste) and the Season 1 finale served as the pilot for The Facts of Life, which I'm hoping will be released soon.

Different strokes is quality. Besides if these are on DVD,

then every show ever should be on DVD.

What season was the one with the bike shop?

Is it going to include the "very special" episode where the Maytag repairman drugged Dudley and Willis and then fondled Dudley?

That's gotta be the pinnancle of creepy sitcom moments.

No Coleman involvement. That little bastard sure is bitter.

The Bicycle Man isn't until season 5, Mr. T and me season 6, and Kareem Addul-Jabaar is seasons 5 and 8.
