Neighbors??? Ever????

Hey all

Has anyone heard anything on Neighbors coming to DVD???? This dark comedy really needs to be remastered in a nice WS dvd, the old laserdisc is P&S

Also, any news on:

Heartbeeps
Six Pack
Wise Guys
Mischief
Up the creek
The Wild Life
Electric Dreams
Rinestone
Over the Top
Paradise alley

I would think any of the above would do some dvd business....

Wow. You have successfully named 11 movies that I have NEVER heard of.

Are they all connected in some way?

I think you've named almost every bad movie from the '80's.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082801/

An interesting bit of trivia, from IMDb:

"John Belushi was originally cast in the role of Vic and Dan Aykroyd in the role of Earl. The two decided to switch roles just prior to filming the movie."

At least you can get Polanski's Pirates outside of R1. See it in the foreign section at Amoeba all the time, and The Pirate Movie, too.

R1 must be too stuck up for them.

Sign me up for heartbeeps! I was hoping that when Man on the Moon came out, they would release it.

No such luck.

BOMM,

CS

Nice list Balboa.

From those titles I'd definitely want The Wild Life. Also Electric Dreams, Mischief, Over the Top, Neighbors, and Heartbeeps.

"Neighbors" was a very unusual film. I don't know that it was a good movie, but there's something inherently fascinating about it, almost David Lynchian in its bleak take on middle-class suburbia.
