Master and Commander is easily my favorite DVD of the month, great movie and a fantastic DVD.

Kill Bill is a close second.

Kill Bill and Master and Commander. Yes, KB is barebones and Master and Commander has all the trimmings. I wanted KB in hand more and the movie is what counts with me.

The Kill Bill Japanese boxset is my favorite, other good ones this month:

Thirteen (finally got around to it, pretty good movie)
Bridge Too Far (R3 Special Edition, really interesting extras)

I got this from Amazon yesterday. I'll most likely check it out this weekend. The 2 disc set is very nice.

Kill Bill Vol. 1 Limited Box as well I suppose. I really need to watch it again to see how much I REALLY like it. It is having a "Fight Club" effect on me. I had to watch that 5 times before loving it.

However, the goodies inside are okay...but the box itself is really nice quality.

Simply put, anyone who didn't answer Freaks and Geeks... didn't buy Freaks and Geeks.

Definitely Freaks and Geeks. No question. I bought it blind and now I'm hooked. I'm actually putting off watching the second half of the set because I've gotten so attached to the characters and am worried I'll get depressed once it's over...

Starcrash R2 CE
weak transfer, bad movie, and most of the CE content is not subtitled, but just the fact i finally have an oar copy of this film on my shelf knocks me for a loop.
in a lot of ways, this made my year.

Prisoner Of Second Avenue
one of my favorite films, looking and sounding great.

A Room With A View
ditto- spectacular package for the film as well

The Final Countdown
another film i've enjoyed for years, and its great to see it get the presentation it deserves

Freaks & Geeks
for once the hype around these parts was dead on. blind buy that i'm about 1/3 of the way thru and enjoying quite a bit.
money well spent.

Charlies Angels S2
much like Starcrash, it has nostalgia value moreso than any intrinsic value, and its something else i never expected to see after the poor sales for the first season.

In this order:

1. LOTR - Return of the King (4 weeks early - don't ask)
2. Master & Commander (Amazing audio)
3. The Last Samurai (Again, thanks to my local B&M street date breaker)
4. Kill Bill Vol. 1
