Will & Grace Season 3?

I know there are problems with season two. Is there a release date for season three yet? I'm curious because even with the flaws, this second season was great. I look forward to completing the entire series.

From TVTome:
Some info today on the Season 2 DVD set. Despite the fact that the DVD is missing many features that were promised in ads, and even with the 4th disk being out of order, there will not be a recall to fix up the DVD, or release a better set for trade-in. It's sad to say that what you see is what you get, but Lions Gate has assured fans that they will do their best to "reimburse diehard fans" on Season 3. At best, at least we know now they have plans to release Season 3.
I'm not really surprised they're not fixing Season 2, just disappointed, but I do hope they try a little harder with the Season 3 set.

Thanks Rob...

I'm delighted to hear that season three is in production. Furrthermore, I agree that it would be nice to see a greater effort put into the next set.

Season 3 DVD In Production

Season 3 is currently being planned out. Lion's Gate Films has set up the tentative date of October 25th, but has not given the word to any major DVD dealers to post it on their sites. As you may recall, Season 2 didn't even get posted onto Amazon.com until one month before its release. We'll keep you posted as things arise.

Woohoo! I'm glad they're planning to release it before the end of the year.

Something tells me that date will be changing though. (It's a Monday)

oh is it? i'm sure they're going to screw this up. i'm sure of it. i'm sick of edited episodes. I'd be ok with zero extras if the shows were complete.

Unless they're talking about October 25, 2005.

And I agree; it's not like they're giving us a lot of extras anyway. I'd rather have unedited episodes, in the correct order, and nothing else than all those screw-ups.

From an episode I watched yesterday:

"Just a maid? That's like saying that Pradas are
just shoes, or vodka is just a morning beverage!"

From TVShowsOnDVD.com:
With the recent release of the second season of Will & Grace on DVD, we've been hit with lots of e-mails about the third season. Many are asking when it's coming out. Others are telling us that this website here gives this date, or that website there gives a different date.

We checked in with Lions Gate, who continues to distribute this property due to their existing deal with NBC, prior to the network's merger with Universal. LG told us that no specific date had been decided on yet. However, they did reveal that the release is looking like "Early September".

Stay tuned, and as soon as Lions Gate pins the date down and lets us know about it, we'll pass the information on to you!
I'll definitely take early September over late October.

Again....part of me is just waiting for them to **** this up.

Side Note: i saw the boxed set for Boy Meets Boy last night. Also put out through NBC and had a TON of extras...plus extra footage. Now...i liked the show so i'm not bashing it...but it kills me that W&G gets treated so horribly that we can't even get complete episodes and this gets extra footage. *sigh*

DVDEmpire has Season 3 up for pre-order, with a 9/7 release date:

http://www.dvdempire.com/Exec/v4_ite...item_id=613987

They're showing the SRP as $49.98, five bucks more than Seasons 1 & 2.
Hopefully, that's a mistake on their part.

TLA has the cover art:

Unfortunately, they also have the $49.99 SRP listed. Oh, and apparently, this set will have "outtakes from the first three seasons". Yeah, like I'm falling for that again. There will be more themed featurettes too; I hope they put them all on one disc this time, instead of spreading them out over all four discs, like they did with Season 2.

Oh, and I really hope the episodes are in the right order this time!

Can anyone tell me exactly what the problems were on the season 2 disks? I'm about to get them and I want to be prepared.

I think this page lists them all. The episodes on disc 4 being in the wrong order was what irked me the most. They put the 2-part season finale first, followed by four episodes that came before it. I just hope they're more careful with the Season 3 set.

And they also have the edited syndicated versions on there as opposed to the full episodes.
