Friedkin films on DVD?
Does anyone know if there are plans in the works to release any of these William Friedkin films on DVD?
Boys in the Band
The Birthday Party
The Night they Raided Minsky's
Cruising
The Brink's Job
Rampage
I know a lot of people on this board have speculated about a longer/directors cut of 'Cruising' (Julie Walker!), and it sure would be nice to get a better version of both 'Sorcerer' and 'Jade' also.

Also I find that Paramount Home Video are kind of hypocritical when it comes to releasing unrated films on video, "Jade" and the non-Friedkin film "Sliver" come to mind where the VHS versions of these films are in their original unrated cut but the DVD's are the R-rated versions.

I'd love to see a deluxe set that includes both Wages of Fear and Sorcerer. In my dreams, I suppose...

If I recall correctly, when "Sorcerer" was released on DVD there was much debate about this being a full screen release. As it turned out, Friedkin approved the full screen version and prefers having the film projected this way.
At least that's what I remember reading...
