Kill Bill playback problems
I have a JVC player that starts freezing after the layer switch on Kill Bill (around the start of the Showdown at the House of Blue Leaves). Does anyone else have this problem? It might be a disc problem but there's nothing obviously wrong with my disc (dirt, etc). I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a known issue before I tried to exchange the disc.

I didn't have any problems with the layer change, though there seems to be a dropout on the DTS track right at the beginning of GoGo's "Do you want to have sex with me?" line. I guess I'll try the Dolby Digital track when I get home to see.

That's awesome!

My disc has a flawless layer change. I would take the disc back, or at least try it on another player first, if you can.

My copy of Kill Bill has the audio drop out only on the DTS track around the same time (Chapter 12 at 1:00:20) but if I pause then hit play it comes back. This does not happen on the Dolby Digital track.
The picture seems to freeze for a few seconds about 10 seconds after the audio drop out but only when playing the DTS track.
Does anyone know when the layer change occurs?
I will replace the disc and hope for the best. My player is a Denon 5900.

I noticed a hiccup as well at the beginning of the DTS GoGo line, but I'm not 100% sure if it's a dropout or if I'm hearing things. No freezing at any point during playback for me. The Layer change I believe is when Sofie Fatale enters the bathroom at the HOBL and the shot cuts to Uma staring and fuming inside the stall.
My player is a Sony NS900V, but I'll have to try it on my other players to test.

I gotta say that that was the best layer change I've seen yet, LoL! It pauses on The Bride's face for about 4 seconds and then all a sudden, "VENGEANCE THEME" blasts away!

Glad to know that it's supposed to be there. But I'm typing this *as* I'm watching it, so maybe I'll know the answer to this later, but why is there a bleeping sound?
Is her real name supposed to be kept secret for some reason? (I'll probably find out the answer to this, but as impatient as I am sometimes, I guess I just wanted to know sooner--if possible. I don't want to be stuck with a defective disc, otherwise).

Also, I exchanged for a new copy and played the DD track all the way through with no problem. I still have a problem playing back the DTS track on two players: a Toshiba and a JVC. Weird... It doesn't really matter, the DD track is pretty damn good.

You should exchange it for a fresher copy.

Alright, I'm still a relative "newbie" here. What on earth does a black bar mean in response to the loud censor buzz question?
Is it a bad copy...or no? I'm a non-jargon kinda guy at the mo'. =)
