Cover Art influenced Purchase

I don't know why the packaging/cover art/colors of the AMELIE 2 disc made me want to buy it even without seeing the movie. I know it sounds lame. Eventually bought it since a couple friends said it was a good film, definately was a good blind buy.

Only once - Magnolia. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, but had no intentions of buying it for my collection. I don't regret the purchase, but it was part of that August 2000 release date when T2, Special editions of Boogie Nights, Braveheart etc. were released. I was just in a spending mood.

August 29th 2000 was the first of the big "mega release days" of DVD. I think there were nine or ten releases from that day that I either bought that week or bought eventually.

I've now seen a total of 4 shoppers over the last week...buying the Final Countdown dvd without having seen the film. various evesdropping has it that they all never heard of it before...but it "just looked too damn good to pass up".
